Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne du Dades
This morning you'll head out early from Marrakech and climb into the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Berber villages on your way to Tichka Pass. The drive takes you to Telouet where you can walk around the historic Kasbah of the Glaoui family and see how it sits on the mountainside. After that, you'll continue on to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah that's worth the stop. Grab lunch in Ouarzazate, then take a tour through Kasbah Taourirt before heading through Skoura and the Valley of Roses toward Kalaat Megouna. Later in the afternoon, the road takes you through the dramatic Dades Gorge where the rock formations create really striking canyon walls. You'll arrive in Boumalne du Dades by evening and settle in for the night.

Boumalne du Dades to Merzouga
Start the day heading to Todra Gorge, where limestone cliffs rise up around a river canyon and create something really dramatic to see. You'll have time to relax, drink mint tea, and chat with locals about the area before moving on. From there, drive eastward through smaller desert towns like Erfoud and Rissani, heading toward Merzouga. Once you arrive, a two-hour camel ride takes you out into the Erg Chebbi Dunes and toward your luxury camp. By evening, you're settled in your private tent with dinner, a campfire, traditional music, and the sky full of stars.

- Day 3
Sahara Desert Exploration
Spend the whole day driving through the Sahara in a 4x4, exploring the Erg Chebbi Dunes and stopping at several places along the way. You'll check out the ancient mines at Mfis, visit the Gnawa village of Khamliya, pass through Tisserdine, and see the Hassilabied Oasis. The drives also give you chances to meet nomadic families and see how they live out here. After lunch with traditional local dishes, it's back to your hotel in Merzouga for the night.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate
Heading westward from Merzouga, you'll drive through Rissani, Alnif, Tazarin, and Agdez on your way to the Draa Valley. Stop at Tamnougalt Kasbah to look around, then have lunch at Chez Yacoub Kasbah. The drive continues toward Ouarzazate, passing through the Agdez and Ait Seen mountains along the way. You'll have dinner and spend the night in Ouarzazate.
