Itinerary
- Day 1
San Pedro de Atacama to Salar de Uyuni
You'll get picked up from your hotel between 7 and 7:30am via private shuttle and head toward the Bolivian border, climbing to 4,400m altitude. Once you reach the border, you'll switch into a 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser for the rest of the day. The drive takes you through desert landscapes with stops at Laguna Blanca and the otherworldly rock formations of Desierto Salvador Dali. After lunch, you'll soak in the thermal springs at Termas de Polques and then continue to Geyser Sol de Mañana to see the geysers in action. The day wraps up at Laguna Colorada, where the water gets its distinctive color from algae and minerals.

Salar de Uyuni Highlands
This morning you'll explore the Stone City with its natural rock formations shaped by wind and time. From there, you'll travel across the high plain visiting several pristine lagoons where flamingos and other water birds live. Later, you'll head into Anaconda Canyon to look for llamas and other Andean wildlife in their natural habitat. The afternoon takes you through small highland towns where you can see how local people live, check out traditional practices, and get a feel for the region's culture.

Uyuni Town
You'll head into the Salar de Uyuni salt flats early to catch the sunrise over the white expanse. After watching the sunrise, you'll hike up Incahuasi Island to see giant cacti and petrified coral from ancient times, plus take those classic perspective photos on the salt. Then you'll visit the Ojos del Salar and spend time at the Salt Museum, which is built entirely from salt blocks. You'll stop in Colchani to watch locals making salt the traditional way, and then visit the Uyuni Train Cemetery to see Bolivia's first locomotives. Before the tour ends, you get about 2 hours in Uyuni town to walk around, grab lunch, and pick up any local crafts or souvenirs.
