On Day 1, you will spend the night in a shelter (Huayllajara), on day 2 is a Hotel de Sal in double room, and for day 3 you will sleep in a village called Altiplánico (Villa Mar) in a budget hotel. The price will be 403 USD per person for the basic Uyuni Salt Flats & Desert Adventure 4D/3N (Atacama to Atacama) + 19 x 3 nights= 57 USD= 460 USD. If you are 4 people, you can divide the cost of the English-speaking guide, so it will be 225 / 4= 56.25 USD + 460 USD = 516.25 USD. The meals included are: 3 Breakfast(s), 3 Lunch(es), 3 Dinner(s).

The reality of visiting a remote area and immersing yourself in nature is that you will be far from modern facilities and the services will sometimes be slow and quite basic. Due to the harsh terrain, vehicle breakdowns are not uncommon, but the drivers are very used to fixing them and wait times are rarely excessive. The accommodations will be very basic, with cots and shared rooms, and the electricity and running water in the National Park are not as dependable as they are back at home. Toilet facilities may have a small local cost and the shower is only available on Day 1. Make sure to bring snacks, some water, toilet paper, and plenty of warm clothes. That said, with some patience, preparation, and an appetite for adventure, this trip will certainly be a positive and unforgettable experience.

However, we will not be joining on the journey back to San Pedro de Atacama because we are staying in Uyuni to continue our trip to other destinations. Should we still book this trip as-is, or will that be a modified trip that you need to book for us? Are you also able to reflect pricing from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni instead of a San Pedro de Atacama return trip?

There is no English speaking guide on this tour. If you are a US citizen, you do no need to observe the visa rules as you may require a visa to enter Bolivia. Other than that, you are free to do this tour with us, pending any border restrictions that have been in place during Covid.

It is indeed possible to pay extra for an English speaking Guide. No, we do not know information regarding re-entry to Chile. The borders have been closed for a long time, and no one has been allowed to cross, so we don't know what kind of policies there will be once the borders open again.
