Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier/Airport to Chefchaouen to Fes
Your driver picks you up at the port or airport, and from there you'll drive through the Rif mountains with passes by Tetoun to see the mountain views. Once you reach Chefchaouen, you'll explore the Spanish-style medina square where local shops sell arts and crafts, and rooftop restaurants are good for lunch. After that, you continue on to Fes for the night, staying in a traditional Moroccan riad.

Fes
Breakfast happens at your riad before you start walking through Fes, Morocco's oldest city. The alleyways and winding streets lead you past the Royal Palace gate, then through the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), by Al Karaouine University, the Tanneries, and Attarine museum. You'll also see the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Grab lunch somewhere in the medina, and in the afternoon head to the tiles cooperative before climbing up for panoramic views over the entire Fes medina.

Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you drive toward Merzouga by way of Errachidia and Erfoud. The route takes you through Tiz Ntalghamt pass and Ziz Gorge with views of the High Atlas plateau. You'll stop in Errachidia for lunch and experience the hospitality of Berber locals. From there, continue along the green Ziz Valley with photo stops near Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving at Merzouga in the afternoon means mint tea and then a camel ride out to the desert camp for the night, where you'll have Berber music and the option to try sandboarding.

Merzouga to Dades
Wake early to catch the sunrise from the dunes, then have breakfast and shower at camp with optional sandboarding if you want it. Your camel ride back to the hotel is where you'll meet your driver. Next, visit Khamlia village to learn about Gnawa music and visit a nomad family to see their desert life and eat berber pizza made with 44 spices. You'll cross through Rissani and Tafilalet before arriving at Todra Gorges and the valley views. The day ends at a hotel in the Dades area.

Dades to Marrakech
Driving toward Ouarzazate, you'll visit the UNESCO-protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah with photo stops along the way. Lunch happens at the kasbah itself, then you check out the Atlas Film Studios. After that, you cross the Atlas mountains through Tizi 'n Tichka pass with chances to stop for photos before reaching Marrakech. Check in at your riad once you arrive.

Have lunch at a restaurant near the square, and then walk through the souks where hundreds of handicrafts are on display. The afternoon is yours to wander around other parts of the city at your own pace.
