Itinerary
- Day 1
Fes to Merzouga
Your desert adventure kicks off with a scenic drive from Fes through the Middle Atlas mountains. You'll pass through Azrou where there's a chance to spot Barbary monkeys, then move on to explore the hills around Midelt. The route takes you over the Tiz Ntalghamt Pass, and from there you'll see the Ziz Gorge and Ziz Valley open up in front of you. After grabbing lunch somewhere along the way, you'll continue toward Erfoud and then head out to the Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga. You'll stay overnight at a hotel.

- Day 2
Merzouga Desert Exploration
After breakfast, you'll spend time exploring a local village to get a feel for the music and culture from Mali. Next, head to Miffis Mines to see how the operation works, then walk out into the dunes for tea with local Bedouins. You'll return to the hotel for some rest, and later your guide teaches you how to mount and ride camels properly before you set out to explore the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes on your own. The night is spent in a Berber tent right in the desert.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Dades Valley
Get up early to catch the sunrise over the sand dunes from the desert. After breakfast and freshening up back at the hotel, you'll head to Tinghir to check out the Todra Gorge, which happens to be Morocco's highest and narrowest gorge. There you can hike around, relax by the river, or try some local Berber food. Following lunch in the gorge, the drive takes you through the beautiful Dades Valley, and you'll spend the night in a hotel with views overlooking a garden.

- Day 4
Dades Valley to Marrakech
You'll travel from Dades Valley toward Marrakech using the historic old caravan route. A stop at Telouet lets you see the impressive Pasha Glaoui Kasbah and explore the surrounding region. From there, the route continues through the High Atlas Mountains and crosses the famous Tizi N-Tichka pass. You'll arrive in Marrakech around 6 to 7 pm and get dropped off at your accommodation.
