Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima to Cusco
Your flight from Lima gets you to Cusco by early afternoon. After checking into your hotel around 1:30 PM, you'll have time to walk through Cusco's historic center. Start at the Cathedral to see its 16th-century paintings, then head to Koricancha where you can see how Inca stonework sits beneath colonial structures. From there, you'll head out to Sacsayhuaman fortress to see those massive stone blocks, then continue to the sacred labyrinth at Qenko. Before the day ends, you'll stop by Tambomachay and Puca Pucara to round out the afternoon exploring the ruins around the city.

- Day 2
Cusco to Aguas Calientes
This full day takes you through the Sacred Valley starting in Chinchero where local weavers work with traditional techniques. After that, you'll drive to the Maras salt mines, which cascade down the hillside in over 3,000 individual pools. Later you'll walk through the Inca terraces at Moray, then check out the archaeological complex at Ollantaytambo. By mid-afternoon, you'll board a 45-minute train through the Andes to Aguas Calientes and settle into your hotel for the night.

- Day 3
Aguas Calientes to Cusco
You'll get an early start heading to Machu Picchu with a guided 2-hour tour following the classic circuit through the site. Later in the morning, you'll head back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. After eating, you'll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, then catch a bus from there to Cusco, arriving at your hotel by evening.

- Day 4
Cusco to Puno
The bus picks you up around 6:30 AM for the journey to Puno. Along the way, you'll make several stops to see cultural and scenic sites, with a lunch break included somewhere mid-route. You should arrive in Puno by 5:00 PM and head to your hotel after the drive.

- Day 5
Puno to Isla del Sol
Starting from your hotel, you'll go to the bus terminal, then travel to Copacabana and head to the port for a boat to Isla del Sol. Once there, you'll walk through the Pilkokaina Palace, an important Inca site. You'll hike up the Inca steps of Yumani and see the Fountain of Life, a sacred stone spring. After returning to the port, you'll take a boat to a local restaurant for lunch, then walk to your lodge for the night.

- Day 6
Isla del Sol to La Paz
After breakfast, you'll take a final boat ride from the port back to Copacabana. There you'll visit the Cathedral to see the Virgin of Candelaria, a revered statue with indigenous features that attracts devotion from across Bolivia. You'll have lunch in town, then return to La Paz. Later in the evening, you'll head to the bus terminal to board the sleeper bus heading to Uyuni.

- Day 7
Uyuni Salt Flat
After arriving, you'll get into a 4x4 for the journey across the Salar de Uyuni salt flat. You'll stop at the Train Cemetery and the town of Colchani to see traditional salt processing methods. From there, it's about 80 km to Incahuasi Island where giant cacti grow and you can climb to the top for views of the salt flat and Tunupa Volcano. You'll watch the sunset and take photos before heading to San Juan for the night.

- Day 8
High-Altitude Lagoons and Siloli Desert
You'll leave the salt flat and drive to several high-altitude lagoons: Laguna Honda, Laguna Ramadita, and Laguna Hedionda, each with different character and color. Later you'll explore the Siloli Desert, one of the driest in the world, where you can see the Stone Tree formation. By afternoon you'll reach Laguna Colorada, known for its reddish waters and the Andean flamingos that live there. The landscape out here feels remote and quiet, far from any towns or cities.

- Day 9
Geysers, Hot Springs, and Dali Desert
Early morning brings you to geysers and boiling water wells that look otherworldly. You'll soak at natural hot springs surrounded by the landscape, feeling the warmth of the earth beneath you. Later you'll drive to Laguna Verde and its striking waters, then stop at the Dali Desert with its colorful mountains. By evening you'll head back to the Uyuni bus station to board the sleeper bus returning to La Paz.

La Paz City Tour
You'll arrive at the bus terminal and transfer to your hotel, then start exploring La Paz. The city tour takes you through different neighborhoods and shows you Plaza Murillo, the Government Palace, the Legislative Palace, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. You'll take the cable car up for views of the city nestled between mountains. Later you'll walk through traditional sectors and the Street of the Witches where amulets and plants for Andean rituals are sold. To finish, you'll head to the Valley of the Moon where erosion has carved the landscape into lunar-like stone formations.

Sajama
In the morning, you'll travel toward Sajama. First stop is the ancient Chullpares, funerary towers that line the roadside and connect you to centuries of history. Then you'll visit the Sistine Chapel of Curahuara, a church decorated with vibrant murals showing biblical scenes. By mid-day you'll reach Sajama village for lunch. The afternoon brings a short walk through a queñua forest, home to the world's highest-growing trees that survive the extreme Andean environment. There's an optional hike to the base of Mount Sajama if you want it. You'll finish with dinner and sleep at a local guesthouse.

- Day 12
Sajama Geysers and Hot Springs
After breakfast, you'll head out to see the geysers with their natural display of bubbling water from underground. Then you'll hike for about 1.5 hours toward a river, walking through landscapes filled with queñua trees and llamas. When you reach the river, a vehicle will pick you up and take you to natural hot springs where you can soak and relax surrounded by the scenery. You'll have a box lunch there before heading back to La Paz for the evening.
