Would we be able to add on a day in Cusco so we go visit either the Rainbow Mountain or Palcoyo before returning to Lima?

If you want to take the train from Puno to Cusco, you have to start our trip in Lima (Day 1) on the 11th or 13th or 16th of August. Please note that August is the high season and you should book asap, there are not many good tickets for visiting Machupicchu.
