Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
You'll leave Marrakech at 8:00 am and head through the High Atlas Mountains, traveling over the historic Tichka Pass. Along the way, you'll stop at a rural women's Argan Oil Co-operative to see how they work, then check out Kasbah Telouet with its detailed Moroccan mosaics. After that comes Ait Benhaddou, which is on the UNESCO world heritage list. Before heading to the Dades Valley, you'll get a photo opportunity at Kasbah Tiffoultoute near Ouarzazate. The drive continues through Kalaat M'gouna and various Berber villages before arriving in Boumalne Dades, known locally as the valley of roses.

- Day 2
Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
Your morning takes you on a scenic drive to Todra Gorge where you can walk around and see the rock formations up close. From there, you'll drive about 2 hours to Rissani, an old spice market and camel trading town, where lunch features Saharan specialties. About an hour later, you arrive in Merzouga and get your first look at the towering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You'll have time to relax and take in the desert landscape, with a few optional activities before dinner.

- Day 3
Desert Camp
After breakfast, you'll take a more relaxed approach to your day. A 4x4 exploration takes you through surrounding Saharan villages where you'll meet traditional Desert Nomads for tea and local Gnawa musicians. Lunch happens in a Saharan family's home, giving you a real sense of daily life here. Back at your hotel, you'll meet your camel for a 1-hour ride into the desert camp, arriving around 5 pm. The evening brings sunset views, optional dune climbing if you want those panoramic vistas, live Saharan music, a campfire, and dinner.

- Day 4
Desert Camp to Fes
If you're an early riser, there's an optional sunrise climb and sandboarding down a large dune for views across the Saharan basin. After breakfast, you'll take roughly an hour on camel to meet your 4x4 and start your full journey through the Ziz Valley heading toward Fes. You'll go through the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Erfoud and then landscapes that change from deserts to cedar forests. You'll stop in Azrou, a Berber market town where monkeys sometimes appear, and Ifrane, Morocco's ski town. Late afternoon or early evening, you arrive in Fes.
