The cooks on our trek cooked the most delicious meals! We were amazed how they could cook such delicious food in the middle of nowhere. Asked on November 3rd, 2023Are the tickets for Maccu piccu included in this trek as I'm aware there are only so many tickets per day. Also is there a certain amount of tip expected as we were told this before hand when we previously did a trek to the top of kilimanjaro.

Here are some amounts that our travelers usually tip to our staff at the end of the trek. Guide: 250 soles or more, Cook: 150 soles, Assistant cook: 100 soles, Horseman: 100 soles. The amounts above are average so it can be more or less. As stated above tips are up to you.

You can bring your own sleeping bag or you can rent them here. Your Cusco hotel will store your luggage while you will be on the trek. They will do this for free.

You can expect to experience altitudes from 10,000 feet up to 17,000 feet. We recommend staying a few days in Cusco before your tour to adjust to the altitude, particularly if you are prone to altitude sickness. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned with the altitude.
