Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive at Marrakech airport where someone will hold up a personalized name card to find you easily. After that, it's a transfer to your hotel or riad where you can unpack and get comfortable before things get going.
 - Day 2
Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou
Today you're driving through Morocco's landscape into the Atlas Mountains, passing rocky cliffs and small Berber villages along the way. You'll cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass to see the Glaoui Kasbah and Ounilla Valley, then reach Ait Benhaddou with its red mud-brick architecture (a UNESCO site). Lunch happens with a local family there. If you prefer a different route, there's an option through Ouallywood movie studio and Taourirte Kasbah via Skoura's historic mud-brick Kasbahs.

Ait Benhaddou to Dades Gorges
You're traveling through the valley known for its many Kasbahs toward Kelaa M'gouna, a place famous for roses and daggers. An off-road section takes you deeper into the Atlas and around M'goun Mountain where you'll see livestock and rust-red Kasbahs lining the Dades Valley. There's a natural formation called Monkey Toes to check out. Once you reach your hotel, you'll have a couple hours free to hike around if you want.

Dades Gorges to N'kob
Head out early to catch Todgha Gorges while there's good light, where massive rock walls shift color as the sun moves (it's really something). Later you'll go to the sprawling Ksar of N'kob and its prehistoric rock carvings, plus about 45 mud-brick ksour scattered around. The town gets its name from a cave that used to shelter nomads passing through.

N'kob to Erg Chigaga Desert
You're heading southeast through some wild desert landscape via Draa Valley, a long stretch of palm oases that gradually blends into the Sahara near M'hamid. First stop is Temegroute to see Zawiya Naciria, which is an active pilgrimage spot and Quranic school with an old library that held thousands of illuminated texts. After that, you'll drive through intense heat to M'hamid El-Ghizlane and then take an off-road route to Erg Chigaga where you'll have dinner and sleep outside under the stars.

Erg Chigaga to Taliouine
Early wake-up to watch the Sahara sunrise turn from dark to glowing orange and red. Then you're off-road heading out of the desert back toward M'hamid. About 100km drive to Zagora passing through palm-lined Draa Valley with newer and older Ksour scattered along it. You'll go through Agdez and cross the Saghro Mountain range near the Bougafer Mines where dinosaur fossils show up. Stop in Taznakht, Morocco's carpet and rug center, then push on to Taliouine where saffron (the world's priciest spice) grows at the African Centre of l'Orrouge.

Taliouine to Marrakech
Leaving Taliouine, you'll drive through Tizi n'Test, a mountain pass cut through the high Atlas in the late 1920s by the French. It's considered one of Morocco's best panoramic drives. Heading north toward Marrakech, there's a stop in Tinmal village to see a mosque that's over 1000 years old.

Marrakech
Your final exploration day in Marrakech with a private guide. You're starting in the old Medina where narrow streets lead to palaces, tombs, and religious buildings covered in marble details. Walk through Bahia Palace, El-Badii Palace, and Saadien's Tombs. Afterward, head outside the Medina to see Majorelle Garden, Museum Saint Laurent, and the Berber Museum. Later on you can experience Jemaa El-Fnaa square, which fills up every night with musicians, acrobats, storytellers, and performers mixed in with thousands of motorcyclists and horse-carts creating a carnival-type scene.
