Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh
Your driver will meet you at Menara Airport and take you to your hotel in Marrakesh. If you're already in the city, the pickup happens from your hotel instead. This is mainly a travel day to get settled in and rest up before things get busy.
- Day 2
Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
After breakfast you'll drive through the Atlas Mountains, stopping at Tizi N Tichka Pass and some Berber villages for photos. You'll see the 17th-century kasbah in Telouet, then head to the UNESCO-protected kasbahs at Ait ben Haddou and Taourirt. Next comes Skoura where the 18th-century Kasbah Ameridhil is located, and then the Rose Valley near Kalaat Mgouna. Later you'll reach Dades Valley to walk through Berber villages and check out the rock formations (the 'monkey toes' are pretty memorable), then watch sunset over the gorges and see the dramatic Tissdrine road.

Merzouga
After breakfast you'll head to Todgha Gorges where there's free time to explore the panoramic views and 300-meter cliffs that attract rock climbers. You'll continue through the Sahara landscape via Tinjdad (lunch stop), Erfoud, and Er-Rissani toward Merzouga. By afternoon you arrive for welcome mint tea. Then either ride a camel into the Sahara dunes to your camp or go by car with luggage transported separately. You'll spend the night at the desert camp.

Fes
After breakfast you leave via Rissani to check out the local souk. You'll travel through the Ziz Valley with its millions of palm trees to Errachidia, cross the Ziz Gorges, and climb through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Midelt for lunch. Then continue to Fes, passing through Azrou's cedar forest (Morocco's largest) with a photo stop to see Barbary monkeys. You'll visit Ifrane, called 'small Switzerland of Morocco' for its European architecture, and arrive in Fes by afternoon to check into your riad.

Fes
After breakfast you'll explore Fes on foot, walking through its alleys and small streets. You'll see the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish Quarter, built in the 14th century as Morocco's first Mellah. There's Al Qaraouine University (the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum to visit. After lunch you'll go to the tiles cooperative and get a panoramic view over the entire Medina. You stay at your riad again.

Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen
After breakfast you head to Meknes to see its Medina. You'll tour the city walls with their 17th-century gates like Bab Berdaine and Bab Khemis, then explore the stables (Rua), attics (Heri), and stud facilities. Visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, then exit through Bab Mansour El onto the Hedim square. Next you'll check out the Roman ruins of Volubilis, which are about 2000 years old. From there it's on to Chefchaouen to overnight in the blue city.

Rabat - Casablanca
After breakfast in Chefchaouen you'll drive to Rabat, which takes about 4 hours. Once there you'll visit Bab Challah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a main gate of the royal palace, and the Oudaya Kasbah. Then you'll continue to Casablanca to spend the night at your hotel.

Marrakesh
In the morning you'll visit Hassan 2 Mosque, the biggest mosque in Casablanca. After about 3 hours of driving you'll arrive in Marrakesh with free time to explore the city and see Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. If you have a flight, you'll head to the airport, or otherwise get dropped at your hotel.
