- Hope· July 10th, 2025Overall it was very good. Our guide Yannis was sweet, but I'm not sure if he's a good fit for this tour. The accommodations were excellent, the food was out of this world, but the walks started feeling like forced marches in the heat wave. The chateaux were gorgeous but the very last one on the itinerary was one too many (in my opinion). Villandry and its magnificent gardens should have been our final chateau, not another one the same day after lunch. I would have enjoyed more of an emphasis on the wines of the Loire Valley, with a guide who knew more about the area and local wineries. We had a great group, very compatible.Show moreExodus Adventure Travels commented on this reviewWe are so happy to hear that you had a great time on our Loire Valley: Walks, Wine & Chateaux tour and we really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and providing us with feedback. We will be sure to pass that along to our local operations. Thanks so... Show moreTrip date: June 2025

Asked on April 2nd, 2025I am interested in this trip but I cannot tell how to get to the starting place from the description. I will be coming from the San Sabastian area of Spain (Hendaye, France train possibly) and I need to get to Paris after the tour. Can you advise when and how I might get to the starting point and from the end to Paris. I do have a eurail pass.
- Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written April 2025
There are direct trains, which take about one hour, from Paris Montparnasse station to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps railway station, near Tours. There are also direct trains from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), but these are irregular so taking the metro to Montparnasse may be a quicker option. We provide one group arrival transfer from Saint-Pierre-des-Corps railway station, scheduled for 3pm on the first day. On Departure there is a group transfer from the end hotel to Saint Pierre des Corps train station which will be scheduled to meet the 0755am direct train service to Paris CDG.

Traveler•Written April 2025Do you know about how many miles/km we walk each day? And what type of terrain. I am already traveling and I am sure I do not have the best walking shoes so want to know what I might need. I walk a lot so it should not be an issue and I love ot talk but do need to understand what I am signing up for. Anything else I should know?
- Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written April 2025
There are 5 days of walking, with the longest day's walking being 9km and the shortest being 7km for the day. You will not need any special walking shoes as the walks are quite leisurely as long as your shoes are comfortable.
