- Kim· May 29th, 2024Perfection!! Of course the scenery was amazing, but the operator chose all the best hotels, restaurants and nooks and crannies. He did all the driving and ordered a parade of delicious food for every meal. Our tour guide not only knew mythology and history, he was a master Storyteller!Show morePictours of Greece commented on this reviewThank you for your nice review and the beautiful photos!Trip date: April 2024
- Ben· January 21st, 2020We have taken many tours, throughout Europe. George's tours rank in the very top of all tours we have taken. His organization is impeccable. His choice of venues is excellent and accommodations were the best. In addition to perfect logistics, George provided us with the perfect tour guide. Stevie was able to turn Greek mythology and history into a series of enjoyable, entertaining tales. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and recommend George to anyone intending to tour Greece.Show morePictours of Greece commented on this reviewThank you very much for your review! - Bbillmarascoyahoocom· April 8th, 2019The mainland mystery tour offers a unique experience of the mainland ranging from visits to the Acropolis to small monasteries in the mountains.. Given that you’re accompanied by two local guides with extensive experience in all regions of Greece, you quickly understand and experience the culture and history of Greece. One of the guides had a Masters in European history , and was able to make ancient history come alive and become relevant to our current times. The accommodations and meals were excellent. Each hotel offered a different experience from a city hotel near the Acropolis to small mountainous resorts high in the hills. Each request whether it was for type of food, wine or cultural experience was enthusiastically received and fulfilled. After having this tour I feel I have a cultural and historical understanding of Greece that could be obtained no other way. The personalized attention of the tour guides was unsurpassed. I recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to become immersed in Greek culture, ancient and modern and experience the beauty of the mountainous region and small towns that few visitors will ever see, all surrounded by the comfort and welcoming experience created by the guides.Show morePictours of Greece commented on this reviewWe always feel pleased when our guests leave with good memories and knowledge of our fascinating Greek history! Looking forward to travel with you again in October.Trip date: April 2019

Asked on December 1st, 2024Are it possible for you to arrange visits to Myokos and Santorini after the mainland tour and end up back in Athens? We are interested in 2 days on each island to make it a 12-13 day trip in total.
- Pictours of GreeceOperator•Written December 2024
Would you like a self-guided or fully-guided experience for these additional days?
- Pictours of GreeceOperator•Written December 2024
Fully guided tour would include all meals, ferry and site tickets, 5* hotel accommodation, private transfer, activities, personal manager and driver, licensed guide. We will visit archaeological site of Delos Island, prehistoric site of Akrotiri in Santorini, have a wine pairing, participate in a Greek Wedding theatrical performance, and join a musical presentation of hand-crafted ancient instruments. Cost is 4800€ per person. Self-guided tour would be 1800€ per person, including only ferry tickets and 5* hotel accommodation.

Traveler•Written December 2024We are in our 70s. We were told that Naxos may be more suitable than Mykonos but are still undecided.
- Pictours of GreeceOperator•Written December 2024
Naxos, the largest island in the Cyclades, is steeped in history and culture. It combines ancient ruins, Venetian architecture, and vibrant traditions. Mykonos is renowned for stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife but also has rich historical and cultural heritage.

Asked on September 2nd, 2022Could you give me the pros and cons of the Mainland Mystical tour versus the Paradisial Peloponesse tour? Also, how far is the driving distance between sites? We have been to Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini already. We are fascinated by Greek history and would like to explore the country further. Also, we'd like a well-rounded tour with history balanced with food, relaxing scenery, visits to olive oil farm or local wineries.
- Pictours of GreeceOperator•Written September 2022
The Paradisial Peloponnese tour includes more visits to archaeological sites, while the Mystical Mainland tour is for nature lovers. We don't drive for more than 4 hours each day, with frequent stops for coffee or toilet. The itinerary is slow-paced. We have available places between 21-28 of October. We visit a winery in Nemea where you will be offered a tour followed by a wine pairing. Our hotel in Kyparissia is built within olive farms and depending on your arrival time, you might even find people harvesting the olive trees.
