Itinerary
- Day 1
Pangkalan Bun to Tanjung Harapan
Land in Pangkalan Bun and head by car to Kumai, then catch a boat upriver toward Tanjung Harapan. Stop at the information center if timing works out, and you'll watch orangutans eat at 3:00 PM. Spend the rest of the afternoon along the riverbanks spotting proboscis monkeys and other wildlife. You'll sleep on a traditional wooden Klotok river boat for the night.

Pondok Tanggui to Camp Leakey
After an early breakfast, take the boat further upriver to Pondok Tanggui rehabilitation center where orangutans are fed at 9:00 AM. Then you'll walk through the rainforest on a short trek before heading by boat to Camp Leakey. Grab lunch on the boat, and at 2:00 PM check out the feeding station to see rehabilitation orangutans. Rest on the boat overnight.

- Day 3
Camp Leakey to Tanjung Harapan
Starting with an early breakfast, trek through the forest looking for wildlife and visit the Camp Leakey information center. After lunch, boat back downriver to Tanjung Harapan for the 3:00 PM orangutan feeding, then walk through the local village. Later in the afternoon, take a slow boat ride downriver to the nipah palm area where you might see fireflies if the weather cooperates. Stay on the boat or at a homestay.

Pondok Tanggui Jungle Trek
Following breakfast, head to Pondok Tanggui for a longer jungle trek. Get back to the boat, and in the afternoon paddle in a canoe along the river to look for crocodiles, wild orangutans, and birds. Walk through a local village on foot. You'll spend the night on the boat or at a homestay.

Pangkalan Bun to Semarang
Eat breakfast, then transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun airport. Fly to Semarang and after landing, your guide meets you for a drive to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Yogyakarta Palace, Water Castle, Bird Market, and Prambanan Temple
Start at the Sultan Palace where you might catch traditional art shows like macapat Java, gamelan, or Javanese dance depending on timing. Travel through the village by pedicab to Taman Sari Water Castle. After that, stop at Pasar Burung (Bird Market) and have lunch. Later wander through Kotagede, the former kingdom capital known for silver crafts. Finish the day at Prambanan Temple.

Mount Bromo Sunrise and Ijen Crater
At 3:00 AM, hop in a jeep heading to Pananjakan to catch the sunrise. Descend into the sea of sand and ride horses up to Mount Bromo. Return to the hotel, then head to Ijen Crater for an overnight stay.

Check out Tirta Empul Temple at Tampak Siring holy spring. Head over to Kintamani village for views of active Mount Batur and Lake Batur, then have lunch at a restaurant with volcano views. Walk through Taman Ayun Temple, the village's mother temple surrounded by large fish ponds. Later go to Tanah Lot Temple on the beach to see the sunset. Return to your hotel.
