Hanoi
You'll land at Noi Bai International Airport and meet your Vietnam By Bike guide at baggage claim. From there, you're transferred to your hotel in the city center where you can settle in and rest up. Later in the evening, there's a welcome dinner to kick things off and get you oriented.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi's old quarter and then driven via the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway to Tuan Chau Marina. You'll board your luxury cruise, get a welcome drink, and sit through a safety briefing. During the day you cruise through the karst rock formations, see landmarks like Dog Stone and Ga Choi Island, then explore Luon Grotto by kayak or bamboo boat. By evening you're relaxing on the roof bar watching the light fade.

Halong Bay to Hanoi to Hue
Start early with coffee and breakfast on deck while watching the sunrise, and there's an optional tai chi class if you're interested. Next you'll explore Sung Sot Cave, one of Halong Bay's largest with impressive stalactites and rock formations. After packing up your things, lunch happens on the cruise as you head back to Tuan Chau Port. You're transferred back to Hanoi for free time to shop and wander around, then head to the train station to catch the overnight SE3 train to Hue in soft-sleeper cabins.

Hue
You arrive in Hue around 8:30 AM and get transferred to your hotel for buffet breakfast and bike fitting. The morning is spent visiting the Old Citadel that sits on the left bank of the Perfume River. Then your cycling starts, following the river and passing the 19th century Nguyen Tomb of Ming Mang, Vong Canh Hill, Nam Giao Esplanade, and a bronze making village. Today you'll cycle roughly 35 kilometers.

Hue to Hoi An
Short transfer gets you to coastal roads where you'll cycle along a lane shaded by coconut palms from Thuan An beach to Phuoc Tuong Pass, and you'll see ancestral tombs scattered across high sand dunes. You break for lunch at Lang Co beach before tackling one of the tour's toughest challenges: a 12 km uphill climb to the Hai Van Pass peak, followed by a 12 km descent into Danang. After that you're transferred to Hoi An and check into your 4-star resort in the Ancient Town.

You'll visit the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, and the local fish market. There's time to browse art galleries and tailor shops. In the afternoon you cycle to Tra Que village to try farming activities with local farmers, then take a boat tour on the Thu Bon River to watch the sunset and see traditional fishing boats.

Hoi An to Quy Nhon
You'll cycle from Hoi An through back streets past fishing villages to the Thu Bon river. After crossing by steel bridge you stop at a local fresh market to see fish straight from the East Sea. Cycling continues through villages and small towns on country roads. Lunch happens at a local restaurant near Tam Thanh beach, and then it's a 2-hour drive to Tam Quan. Later you cycle on quiet back roads through palm-tree-dotted villages along the coastline with sand dune peninsula views. The roads are well-made with great views and friendly villagers waving along the way, and you arrive in Quy Nhon in the early evening.

Quy Nhon to Nha Trang
After a leisurely breakfast in Quy Nhon, you cycle from a small village and waterfront, crossing a narrow wooden bridge to see colorful circular bamboo boats at fishing villages. From there you continue through rustic farms and small towns across lush farmland to Da Dia Reefs, where you explore an area with roughly 35,000 basalt rock columns in various geometric shapes. You take photos and walk the seashore. Cycling resumes along local beaches past markets to a lively lagoon where hundreds of floating fish farms are visible. After crossing rivers and exploring idyllic villages with ancient temples and pagodas, you cycle through sweet potato, tapioca, and rice fields to Tuy Hoa. A 2-hour drive brings you to Nha Trang and your beachfront 4-star hotel.

Nha Trang to Da Lat
After an hour's transfer west from Nha Trang, you tackle one of the tour's biggest challenges: the Hon Giao Pass. You'll cycle uphill for roughly 33 km from the altitude of 1,960 meters, then experience a thrilling descent through pine tree forests to Da Lat flower valley city at 1,500 meters. You'll stay overnight at a 3-star hotel.

Da Lat to Cat Tien
Leaving Da Lat behind, you continue your cycling journey to Bao Loc through landscapes of lush green tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, and winding mountain roads. Bao Loc is famous for its tea production, so you'll sample some locally grown teas and wander through the city's bustling markets to soak in the local atmosphere. Your overnight stay is at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge in the buffer zone.

Cat Tien to Ho Chi Minh City
You'll take a scenic bike ride through Cat Tien National Park's buffer zone, passing pepper and herb farms, hills, and riverside scenery. Along the way you'll see traditional ethnic communities and serene waterfalls and natural attractions. Today's biking distance is roughly 45 km. After that you head to a 4-star hotel in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) for your overnight stay.

Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi Tunnels and return
A 1.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City takes you to the quieter suburbs where you'll collect your bikes and cycle roughly 30 km to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Originally started during the French colonial period, these tunnels became known during the Vietnam War as an underground command base for Viet Cong troops. You'll have lunch by the Saigon River, then explore the tunnels with a guide (they're low, narrow, and can feel claustrophobic). After a 2-hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh City you shower and rest, then enjoy a farewell dinner.
