Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh to Dades Gorge
A driver picks you up at 8:00am from your Marrakesh accommodation and heads toward the Atlas Mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Along the route you'll pass through Berber villages with riverside oases and kasbahs visible throughout the landscape. There's a choice here: either stop at the Ouarzazate Film Studios or take a detour to Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city worth seeing. By afternoon you'll arrive at Dades Gorge where you can hike if you're up for it or just relax at the hotel before dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 2
Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert Camp
After breakfast at the hotel, you transfer to Todra Gorge where 300-meter cliffs tower above a narrow valley. Next you'll walk through the palmery, a lush area thick with date palms and ringed by Berber villages. Following lunch you continue into the desert toward Merzouga to grab supplies and pick up a camel from a kasbah. Around sunset you trek about an hour and a half by camel to reach a Berber camp where you'll eat traditional Moroccan food and either sleep under the stars or stay in tents.

Landmarks Todra Gorge Merzouga - Day 3
Merzouga to Marrakesh
Early morning brings a sunrise camel ride for about an hour and a half through the desert, then you return to Merzouga on camel. After breakfast in town you'll have time to shower and freshen up. The journey back starts midday going through the stony desert and back over the Atlas Mountains, with multiple stops along the way for photos, a bit of exploring, and lunch. You should roll into Marrakech somewhere between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
