William· December 22nd, 2022Heard about Chhatra and Nepal Eco Adventure from a friend who had been to Nepal on a number of occasions and had used them previously. I had committed to my 17 year son that if he worked hard for his HSC (Australian A Levels), we would take a trip to Everest Base Camp. Skyped the company and was surprised to get in contact with Chhatra in person, he was generous with his time, patient, friendly and was able answer all my queries, which were many as I was a bit apprehensive about the trip as had only ever hiked in Australia and New Zealand previously. On arriving in Nepal and meeting Chhatra and the team in person, we received great service and advice on the likely conditions for the trek. On landing in Lukla, we were greeted by our guide (Dupath) and porter (Kumar), who I can't thank enough for their patience and assistance during the hike, Dupath was very knowledgeable about the mountains, culture and various temples and stupas along the trek, Kumar was a legend and mean pool player. We hooked up with another Australian father and his two sons, who were also with Nepal Eco Adventures, their guide Ram was also equally knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had clear skies and great weather for the entire trek, all in all a fantastic experience and trip and I can't recommend Nepal, local Nepalese, Chhatra and his team on the ground strongly enough.Show moreTrip date: November 2022 William· December 22nd, 2022Heard about Chhatra and Nepal Eco Adventure from a friend who had been to Nepal on a number of occasions and had used them previously. - LLeslie Asked on June 14th, 2019Are visa required? Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt.LtdOperator•Written June 2019 Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt.LtdOperator•Written June 2019- Regarding Visa advice, we recommend contacting your local embassies for the most up to date information about Visas required in these countries. As a tour booking website, TourRadar cannot be an effective and accurate visa authority as this information is regularly being updated and varies for the nationality of one traveller to the next.
It is for this reason that we recommend checking your local embassy or consulate’s website for the latest up to date information. We’ll happily provide you with the trip notes for this tour which may contain some guidance regarding Visa requirements for some nationalities, but in most cases, Visas will remain the responsibility of the individual traveller.

- NNicholas Asked on June 14th, 2019What types of food will be served during the treks? Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt.LtdOperator•Written June 2019 Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt.LtdOperator•Written June 2019- While trekking in Nepal, meals are prepared in tea houses with a good standard of hygiene, including fruit and vegetables which are soaked in iodine water before being cooked. The food along the trail will be simple and a mix of local and international cuisine. If the trekking is camping trekking, then you will mainly be served the local foods of Nepal as well as continental and western foods. Due to the lack of electricity and refrigerators along the trekking routes, you will eat a largely vegetarian diet.
