Frankfurt Departure
Your Botswana and Zimbabwe safari kicks off this evening with your departure from Frankfurt.
- Day 2
Maun
You'll land in Maun in the early afternoon where your safari guide picks you up for the transfer to your lodge. The afternoon is yours to relax, or you can take an optional helicopter tour of the Okavango Delta if that interests you. At 6 pm, the guide welcomes everyone and you'll have your first dinner together at the lodge.

Maun to Okavango Delta Panhandle
After breakfast, you're driving northwest from Maun into the panhandle of the Okavango Delta, a region shaped by the Okavango River. You'll arrive at the tented camp in the afternoon with time for optional activities like a sunset motorboat ride. Then dinner with the group and you'll spend the night in your safari tent.

Okavango Delta Safari
Today you're experiencing the Okavango Delta from water level in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe), gliding silently through waterways while spotting birds, elephants and other wildlife. You'll walk on a small island where your guide explains the local ecosystem. After returning to camp, you'll have dinner and evening activities.

- Day 5
Okavango Delta to Moremi-Khwai Region
An early breakfast gets you started before you drive back to Maun and then head to the Moremi-Khwai region on the northeastern edge of the Okavango Delta. This area is packed with animals. You'll relax at your tented camp in the evening, listening to hyenas and the distant calls of leopards in the African bush.

- Day 6
Moremi-Khwai Safari
You're rising early to catch the best wildlife viewing in warm morning light, then heading out in open four-wheel drive vehicles through the private concession. You'll see antelopes, giraffes, elephants and warthogs. After sunset, there's an evening game drive where you can spot nocturnal animals like porcupines, bush hares and hyenas under the Southern Cross.

Landmarks Moremi-Khwai Region - Day 7
Full-Day Khwai Safari
Watch the sun rise over the wilderness from your tent before heading out for a full-day safari in the Khwai region. You'll travel in open four-wheel drive following paths and watercourses while learning about local flora, fauna and how wildlife coexists. Your guide will help you spot rare wild dogs and large elephant herds. End the day with a cold drink by the campfire.

Moremi-Khwai to Makgadikgadi
You're leaving the lush Okavango Delta behind and heading east into one of Botswana's driest regions. You'll travel past the massive Makgadikgadi salt pans, an endless expanse covering over 37,000 square kilometers of salt pans, grasslands and palm islands. You'll arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon.

- Day 9
Makgadikgadi to Kasane
This morning you're visiting the Nata bird sanctuary with great views over the Sowa Pan, spotting wildebeest against the dry plains backdrop. Then you're heading north towards Kasane, the eastern entrance to Chobe National Park. You'll arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon with optional activities available.

Chobe National Park Safari
An early morning game drive in Chobe National Park shows you elephant herds, buffalo and predators in their natural habitat. After returning to your lodge, you'll have a boat safari on the Chobe River in the afternoon for a different view of elephants, hippos and crocodiles. The evening is for reflecting on your safari experiences with the group.

Kasane to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
You're crossing the border into Zimbabwe and driving into Hwange National Park, where the landscape shifts from Botswana's flat plains to red rocks and rolling hills with African bush. Hwange is one of southern Africa's richest wildlife areas, home to giraffes, buffalo, zebras, elephants and occasionally lions or cheetahs. An optional afternoon game drive is available when you arrive.
