- Steffanie· May 30th, 2025I absoloutly loved this trip. This trip is comprised of two portions, first the Amalfi Coast portion which was a group tour and then Tuscan portion was more of an independent adventure. I have done the Amalfi Coast portion of this trip twice, once as a solo traveller and the second time with my partner. It is the perfect way to see the Amalfi Coast on a budget. The bungalows are comfortable and I love that there is the option to take the shuttle into town or even walk. The roads around the Amalfi Coast are crazy and so having a local, experienced driver like we had on this trip is an absolute must. The Tuscan portion of this trip was amazing! The boutique, local accommodation was great - it is possibly different on each departure, the one we stayed at had an amazing restaurant attached and was only a short shuttle ride away from San Gimiano. It also had a great pool. We loved the wine tour that was included in the Tuscan portion of this trip.Show moreItaly on a Budget Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt review! We’re absolutely thrilled that you loved both parts of the trip—the Amalfi Coast group adventure and the more independent Tuscany experience. It’s amazing to hear you’ve done the Amalfi Coast... - JSJason R· August 4th, 2024My wife and I did the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany 7 days/6 nights tour and had a magnificent time. This included Pompeii archeological visit, 3 nights in Sorrento where we toured the island of Capri, the towns on the Amalfi coast and spent our evenings in downtown Sorrento, After that we had great walking tours of Napoli, Our tour leader for the first half, Carlo, was fantastic (and was always willing to answer my questions about how to say certain things in Italian as I had been studying for months). We then picked up our next tour leader Ned in Florence. Ned provided a great walking tour in Florence, then led us to the second part of the vacation in Tuscany. The second half of the trip was more self-guided and just knowing when to hit the next shuttle. Altogether, this was a nice blend of crazy/gogogo and relaxation. Our accommodations in Florence and Tuscany were top notch (both with good, free breakfast). If there was a drawback, it was probably the campground in Sorrento. it wasn't bad (The AC and shower in the tiny cabins were both excellent), but was a little more rustic than we had in mind. we were lucky that as a couple we got to stay together while other singles were paired together without really getting to know one another quite yet. If you're ok for that type of adventure, then it's great, but could be awkward. Full disclosure, we were a bit older than most of the group too. Also, we heard so much about the "private beach" at the campground, but it closed early and we never really got to enjoy it after long days of walking in the sun). Also, there seemed to be a little miscommunication early on about what was included and what was "extra" during the tour as different groups did different things. But this was all worked out quickly and did not create any undue stress. I think it would also be nice if the tour pick up and drop offs in Florence were at the train station when everyone can more easily arrange their travel. In general, this tour had amazing scenery, wine and food and we have memories for a lifetime. I would recommend this company for sure and will check them out again if we get to go back someday.Show moreItaly on a Budget Tours commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review of your 7-day Amalfi Coast and Tuscany tour! Asked on September 17th, 2024Why are three spots unavailable on TourRadar? I prefer to book through you and need assistance with the booking. The tour is Amalfi and Tuscany, 7 days/6 nights, with the operator being Italy on a Budget Tours. Their website shows 3 spots available, but this isn't reflected on TourRadar. The travel date is September 19, 2024
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written September 2024
To confirm the availability of the three spots for our Amalfi and Tuscany tour starting on September 19, 2024, could you please let us know the type of accommodation Jessie prefers for the tour? The options are: Tour Only, Private Hotel Accommodation, Shared Accommodation. Since the tour is departing in less than 24 hours, I also want to mention that we have the same tour scheduled and confirmed for October 3rd, which may be of interest.

Asked on June 23rd, 2024Is there a reason for the age limit? Is there a maximum age? I am 69
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written June 2024
We generally promote for a youth market as we have a general audience of college students, backpackers, solo travellers... We are not strict with the age limit and everyone is always welcome to join our tours as long as you are young in heart, have no walking disabilities and are happy to be with younger people.

Asked on July 26th, 2023Does tour include luggage transfers in the cost? Is there a limit on luggage?
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written July 2023
Luggage transfer is included in the cost except for the journey from Naples to Florence where you will be traveling by fast-speed train and you will need to reach the accommodation independently. There is no specific limit to luggage but we recommend travelling light.

Traveler•Written July 2023I cannot tell what happens on the last day of the tour. It looks like we leave the lodge by 10 AM but do not get to Florence until 4 or 5 PM. Why does it take so long to get back to Florence? Please clarify.
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written July 2023
On the last day check-out is in the morning but there are no activities planned as we would like to give you the opportunity to relax more by the pool or explore the surroundings of San Gimignano. The pick up from the accommodation is scheduled at 4:00pm. If you need to leave earlier, this is possible and we can help you in organizing a different pickup. The ride back to Florence usually takes 1h and 30' max.

Traveler•Written July 2023Is it OK for us to book this trip?
- Italy on a Budget ToursOperator•Written July 2023
We are a tour company for students and backpackers mostly and we mainly target 18 to 39's because most of our tours are fast-paced, budget-minded, and include activities for travellers to meet and have fun with other like-minded young passengers from all parts of the world. We are not strict with the age limit and people older than 39 are always welcome as long as they are young in heart and have no walking disabilities, and are happy to be with younger people. Some days of this tour are long walking days.
