- KMKathleen· August 23rd, 2024The trip was amazing from start to finish. The guide was super-knowledgable about the landscapes, the histories, and especially the Buddhist monasteries and castles we visited and the paintings inside them. Tenzin was kind, patient, and welcoming, and the driver, Namgay, was sweet, kind, and an excellent driver. Seriously, every day was a high point on the trip: the hike through the forest to the monastery in Thimphu and meditating while the monks chanted, the visit to the textile museum (I'm a textile artist), a conversation with a graduate from the Traditional Medicine Faculty, the visit to the temple of the Divine Mad Man and hearing the ancient stories from the young monks staying there, and the hike up to the Tiger's Nest and having the chance to meditate there. Everywhere we drove was like a snapshot out of National Geographic magazine. The hotels were lovely too, with amazing views over rice fields and mountains. I'm celiac (I can't eat gluten or any milk products) and the guide,Tenzin, coordinated with hotel chefs and restaurants everywhere we went to make sure I could eat. I'm extremely grateful for all the delicious meals he arranged. It can be a big pain in the a** to find gluten-free, dairy-free food in many places in the world, and I feel very fortunate. I ate like a queen on this tour. I didn't plan on visiting Bhutan...I was actually traveling in India, China, and Nepal, and an immigration officer told me I MUST visit Bhutan; it's beautiful, she said, you cannot miss this opportunity. I'm with her. I highly recommend "Best of Bhutan." Their tour was the highlight of my trip to the Himalayas.Show moreWorld Tour Plan commented on this reviewDear Kathleen, We were so delighted to hear that you had such an incredible time during your 5-day tour of Bhutan! - RSRoshnita· April 14th, 2024I Had a wonderful time in Bhutan. My guide was Singe, he was kind and helpful throughout the whole tour. He had in depth knowledge of his beautiful country and was always happy to accommodate any questions. The food was excellent and more than enough, In our free time Singe asked if there were any places /things outside of the itinerary that we wanted to experience. A perfect flawless trip Thank you world tour Plan.Show moreWorld Tour Plan commented on this reviewHi Roshnita Sampath,It warms our hearts to hear that your tour with World Tour Plan was a resounding success! - LMLee· January 6th, 2024My 5 day trip to Bhutan was exceptional. I ended up having a personal tour, just me plus my guide and driver. Everything was customised to my needs, my guide called ahead to ensure all of my meals were aligned with my specific dietary requirements at hotels, restaurants and a farm house. The hotels were fabulous, with friendly staff that would do anything to help. The many sights around Bhutan were incredible, and my guide was very patient/helpful as we tackled the Tigers Nest on my last day - a combination of an injured knee plus difficulty with altitude meant I needed to take things very slow, with plenty of stops - but we made it, and so worthwhile, a real'must do' activity. Kinley (guide) and Kim (driver) were great- very informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this trip...Show moreWorld Tour Plan commented on this reviewHi Lee,Thank you for choosing World Tour Plan for your Bhutan adventure! Asked on August 17th, 2024Can you tell me: 1. Is the $1640 inclusive of the $400 sustainability tax? 2. How many km hiking is each day on the itinerary? 3. How many people do you expect? 4. Are the rooms shared? I am traveling alone and would prefer my own room.
- World Tour PlanOperator•Written August 2024
Yes $1640 is inclusive of SDF and everything. Each day it will be 2-3 hrs hike. Depends upon how many Km you can do. We do for solo travellers also, so min is 1 and max is 20. No you will have your own room and won't b shared.

Traveler•Written August 2024Is a stay in a monastery included? I see a homestay is included, is that correct? I am definitely interested in travelling with others if possible. I asked about the hiking because I am in very good shape, but I had a knee injury a few months ago, so I can't hike more than about 5 km at a stretch and if I had to do that every day, that would be tough. I am very interested in cultural experiences, including food, art, and culture balances with the trek. Honestly, all the tours look kind of the same, so I am finding it hard to distinguish them and I am a little concerned that all the trips will just be stops at tourist destinations with hundreds of other people, and I was hoping for something a bit more authentic. What makes your tour unique?

Traveler•Written August 2024I am still trying to find the perfect tour. I am hoping to include some cycling and a farmhouse or homestay with the major sites in Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro for 5 days. PLease advise.

Traveler•Written July 2024I'm celiac (I can't eat anything with gluten). Is it possible to provide meals that don't have gluten? I can eat potatoes, rice, all vegetables, fruits, nuts. I CAN eat chicken and beef if they have not been marinated or put in a sauce first. Basically, I CAN eat plain rice, plain potatoes, plain meat, plain vegetables and plain fruits and nuts. I CANNOT EAT anything with wheat (NO bread, NO pasta, NO dumplings). Wheat is in many sauces, so I CANNOT eat sauces, I also CANNOT have barley, rye or oats. I also CANNOT have milk, butter, cheese, or any milk product.
