At least one hotel was so sub-standard (Alexandra in Dobrinishte) that I have to move out an pay out of pocket for a different hotel. My assigned room at Alexandra had an awful quality bed mattress, but more to the point, NO AIR CONDITIONER. It was intolerable in the heat of over 93 degrees F. 2. I wish the itinerary was slightly different. a) The specific Thracian tomb we visited was not very interesting, while 20 miles away in Kazanlak was one with frescoes (or at least there was a fresco in the museum). If Kazanlak were on our itinerary, we could have also seen the roses. b) For some mysterious reason Arbanasi was missing from our guide's itinerary even though it was mentioned in the original brochure synopsis we received from Tourradar. c) It's not clear to me what the purpose was to include the Buzludzha Monument in the tour, or Vanga's placeShow more

We had a knowledgeable Bulgarian guide, Georgi, and he helped demystify a lot about all the different conflicts and things about these countries and their rich histories. We had a great group of experienced travelers, and a comfortable bus on which we traveled almost 2000 km. We had local guides and walking tours in most of the cities. Videos of everything can be found on IG or TT under TrvlZaddy. I highly recommend this trip, and I will likely be booking more with this company.Show more

He was quiet but friendly. Accommodation varied but good standard. Breakfast varied and gave us a taste of local cuisine. Arranged city tours where informative & interesting. Penguin TravelOperator•Written March 2025The tour is also good for experienced riders. Also, there are opportunities to canter, but keep in mind that it is a mountain trail. Furthermore, you can participate as a solo traveler, but there is a single room supplement. As an option you can decide to share a room with another tourist, and if there is someone we will remove the additional supplement.

Unfortunately, our horse riding tours are in the mountain and we cannot promise that you will be able to canter as much as you want. However, this tour "Orpheus Trail Ride, Bulgaria" is the most suitable for this. Regarding the room sharing, at the moment we do not have anyone also willing to share, but it is still time till September.

Is it possible to pick up and drop off at the train station instead of the airport? What are the temperatures? Can I assume that if I book a tour, the tour will take place? The additional single supplement is 140 EUR. The date which you have the first night in Sofia is 13 Sep and the departure from Sofia is on 20 Sep. The included transfers are fixed on 13 and 20 September from/to the hotel and from/to the airport. Any other additional transfer is 20 EUR, or you can organize it by your own (taxi). We expect that the temperature will be around 23/26. For now the tour is not guarantee as there is still time and we believe that the group will be completed soon.

We are experienced trail riders, have done so far 4 week-long and many shorter rides in all terrains in different countries. We like trips with a lot of cantering and dont want to walk all the time. So my first question: how is your policy about participants who are not confident in all gaits? My second question: How are the booking modalites? Is there a the possibility to cancel?

Usually, this ride is for more advanced riders, so when the participants are unsure if they can make it, we recommend some of our other more suitable rides for beginners. To secure your place on the tour, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit. So we recommend having trip cancellation insurance, just in case.
