Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and connect with your guide at the airport for the drive to your hotel in Thamel. This neighborhood is where most travelers base themselves, so you'll find plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. After checking in, take the rest of the day to settle and get some sleep before the trek begins.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
An early morning scenic flight gets you from Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hilary Airport in Lukla, and the mountain views on the way are something else. From there, you'll start walking the trail to Phakding, following alongside the Dudh Koshi River. The walk is relatively easy today since your body's adjusting to being at altitude.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Walking through smaller villages like Toc-Toc, Benkar, and Monjo, you'll cross several bridges spanning the Dudh Kosi River. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail gets steeper as you climb toward Namche Bazaar, which sits at 11,286 feet (3,440m). When you arrive, you'll see it's a proper town with restaurants, guesthouses, and even internet, which is helpful for checking in with people back home.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar
This day is built in for your body to adjust to the altitude, so you won't trek very far. If you want to stay moving, there are optional walks to Thame or Khunde. The weekly market happens Friday evening and Saturday morning, and the Tourist Visitor Center has information about past Everest climbers and the local environment. Otherwise, wandering the town itself gives you plenty to do.

Landmarks/POIs Namche Bazaar - Day 5
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Following the Dudh Kosi River as it rushes down from the mountains, you'll gradually climb to Tengboche Village at 12,661 feet (3,860m). The main reason to come here is the monastery, which has remarkable decorative wall hangings, a 6-meter Buddha statue, Tibetan instruments, and colorful Lama robes. If you're interested, stick around for evening prayers.

Tengboche to Dingboche
The trek to Dingboche feels a bit easier paced than previous days as you walk through Somare and Orsho. Then the final stretch kicks in with a steep climb to Dingboche Village at 14,468 feet (4,410m), where lodges are set up for the night. This is when you'll really feel how altitude affects your body, and that's normal at this height.

Dingboche
Another acclimatization day, so you're staying in Dingboche but moving around. Head up 1,312 feet (400m) to Nangkartshang Gompa, which sits on a ridge north of the village and gives you views of Mt. Makalu and Mt. Ama Dablam. If you're feeling strong, some people push to the summit at Nangkartshang at 16,699 feet (5,090m).

Dingboche to Gorak Shep
You'll trek to Dughla Village first, then tackle the steep moraine at the base of the Khumbu Glacier where the ground is covered in boulders. After climbing to Chupki Lhara, you'll see prayer flags that memorialize climbers Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa. As you keep going, huge peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal come into sight.

Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep
Moving higher up the mountain, you'll pass Gorak Shep Lake and a memorial to Indian mountaineers. The air gets noticeably thinner and walking becomes harder work. After navigating rocky terrain, moraine, and streams, you'll reach Everest Base Camp and see the colorful tents of mountaineers mixed with peaks like Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori with their snow-covered tops. You'll head back down to Gorak Shep for the night.

- Day 10
Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar to Pheriche
Starting before sunrise with temperatures around 14 to 7 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 to -14°C) and possibly strong winds, you'll trek to Kala Patthar summit. The 360-degree views from up here are what people remember most, and you get an up-close perspective of Mt. Everest. Later, you'll descend to Pheriche for the night.

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Heading back down, you'll walk through rhododendron forest to Debouche, then continue to Tengboche with its famous Buddhist monastery and surrounding peaks. From there, descend to Phunki Thenga on the Imja Khola river, and then trek through Sanasa to return to Namche Bazaar for the night.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Your final day of trekking takes you back to Phakding, then on to Lukla. You'll have some time to walk around the village and check out the surrounding area before your evening flight. This is a good moment to think back on everything you've done and celebrate finishing the trek.

Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning flight back to Kathmandu brings mountain views the whole way. Once you land, you'll have free time to shop for souvenirs, walk around Thamel, and sit in cafes or bars. Your guides can point you toward good places if you want recommendations or help finding specific items.

Kathmandu Departure
On your final day in Nepal, the team will get you to the airport at least three hours before your departure flight. You'll say goodbye to your guides and head home with the trek complete.
