Itinerary
- Day 1
Tashkent
You'll get picked up at the airport and head to your hotel to settle in. From there, your guide takes you through Tashkent's historic areas starting with the Khast-Imam Complex and its Tilla Sheikh Mosque. Then you'll walk through the colorful Chorsu Bazaar and check out the State Museum of Applied Art. After that, you'll head down into the themed subway stations, see Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, and visit the Earthquake Memorial before returning to your hotel.

- Day 2
Tashkent to Samarkand
After breakfast, you'll board a high-speed train to Samarkand (about 2 hours covering 300 kilometers). Once you arrive, you'll see Registan Square with its three madrasahs and walk through Siyob Bazaar. Later you'll visit the Bibi Khanym Mosque, then head to the Ulugbek Observatory and its museum. The day wraps up with visits to the Gur-Emir Mausoleum where Timur is buried and the Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis before you return to your hotel.

- Day 3
Samarkand
Your morning starts at the Afrasiab Museum where you'll see beautiful murals from the 7th-8th centuries that blend Persian and Chinese Tang-dynasty styles. Then you'll visit the Tomb of Saint Daniel before traveling to Koni Ghil Village. There you'll watch artisans create traditional paper using mulberry branches, the same techniques they've used since the 8th century. After exploring the village and looking at paper artworks, you'll head back to your hotel in Samarkand.

After breakfast, you'll take a 2-hour high-speed train to Bukhara. Once you check into your hotel, you'll start a walking tour at the 45-meter-high Kalyan Minaret. You'll see the Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah with their intricate tilework, then move through the historic Magoki-Attori Mosque and Islamic institutions. Later you'll walk through the Trade Domes Market, wander the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble with its cafes and galleries, and finish at the Chor-Minor Madrasah with its four blue towers.

- Day 5
Bukhara
You'll start by exploring the Ark Fortress, which dates back to the 1st century and once housed Bukhara's rulers. Climbing the ramparts gives you panoramic views of the city. Next you'll visit the Bolo Hauz Mosque known for its 20 wooden pillars, then see the early Islamic Samanid Mausoleum. After that comes the Chashma Ayub Mausoleum with its museum of ancient water systems, the Summer Palace (Sitorai Mohi Hosa), and you'll end your day at the Memorial Complex of Bahouddin Naqshbandi with its saint's tomb, mosques, and Islamic school.

Bukhara to Khiva
You'll spend 7 to 8 hours on a road trip across the Kyzylkum Desert following the ancient Silk Road toward Khiva. There are stops along the way so you can take in the desert landscape. When you arrive in Khiva, you'll head to the inner city of Ichan Kala to check into your hotel. This place has been significant since antiquity and is known in One Thousand and One Nights as 'the city closest to heaven.'

Landmarks Ichan Kala - Day 7
Khiva
You'll explore Ichan Kala, Khiva's 2,500-year-old inner city and Central Asia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting at the Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasah (once Central Asia's largest Islamic academy), you'll see the unfinished Kalta Minor Minaret with its cobalt, turquoise, and white tiles. You'll visit the intricately carved Juma Mosque, the expansive Tosh-Hovli Palace with over 160 rooms, the Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum with its blue dome, and the towering Islam Khodja Minaret before ending at Kunya-Ark. Later you'll be driven to Urgench Airport for a flight back to Tashkent, where you'll get transferred to your hotel.
