Trip date: March 2025 - JCJOSEPH· March 19th, 2025Overall I enjoyed the tour. Some negative aspects were obviously beyond the tour operator's control - such as the weather, but some aspects could have been improved. I found the city-to-city variations of the composition of group members disorienting as it hurt the continuity of friendships that were being formed. (I was also surprised that I was always the only solo traveler, whatever the group size.) The guides were fine overall, but the itinerary turned out to be less than hoped for. For instance, there was too much free time allotted in Hoi An, where activities across 2 days could have been compressed into 1 day, and allowed for a day in Hue, for example. Also in Cambodia, the 2-day itinerary was unexpectedly swapped around so that we had to go to Angkor Wat straight from the airport instead of allowing for a breather before embarking on the visit to my most anticipated part of tour. As a result, because I had a sudden health issue, I was unable to fully participate in the activity, and the actual experience did not live up to the descriptions presented in the itinerary/brochure. Danny did a fabulous job at keeping everyone where they were supposed to be and on time. Communication was always good. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer any questions we had. The sites were interesting and beautiful to see. Our one-night cruise in Halong Bay was great, but we did have some cloudy weather there. It did give the area a more mystical/magical feeling, although bright, blue skies would have been ideal, no one has control over the weather. I would definitely do this tour again. Do wish that the local guides used some sort of wireless microphone where we could have an ear piece so that if you stopped to look at something you could hear what they are saying. So many times people fell behind and then needed the guide to repeat things. Some tours were better than others. Had a great guide in Siem Reap (Chanda). Enjoyed Hoi Ann..markets were fun. . We did a show on our own called Memories. It was fine and a nice cultural review. Had some of the best food in Cambodia to be honest. Bring USD as they easily took them.
