Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and head to your hotel to get settled. The afternoon and evening are open for you to do as you like. If you're not too tired from traveling, grab dinner at one of the riverside restaurants overlooking the Nile, or you could catch the sound and light show at the pyramids if the timing works out. It's really up to what you're in the mood for after your flight.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start early at the Pyramids of Giza Plateau where you'll see the three main pyramids up close. Cheops (also called Khufu) is the largest one there, constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks. Chephren and Mycerinus stand nearby. From there, head to Memphis to see the colossal statue of Ramses II, and then move on to Saqqara's necropolis where King Zhoser's Step Pyramid stands out as one of the oldest monumental structures made from stone.

- Day 3
Cairo
Begin your day at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which covers 490,000 square meters and holds artifacts spanning nearly every period of Egyptian history. The collection includes treasures from King Tutankhamun's tomb. Later, head to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see mummies and other preserved pieces from antiquity. After that, walk through Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can browse shops and soak in the local atmosphere. Finish at the Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammed Ali before heading back.

Cairo to Aswan
After breakfast, you'll fly south to Aswan and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Philae Temple, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated piece by piece to Agilika Island during a major UNESCO rescue effort in the 1970s. You'll also see the Aswan High Dam, which altered the landscape significantly when it was completed.

- Day 5
Abu Simbel - Aswan
An early morning flight takes you to Abu Simbel to see the temples built to honor King Ramses II. Four enormous statues of the pharaoh carved into the mountainside guard the entrance to the temple. Later, you'll return to Aswan with time to shop in the local souqs and markets or just rest before boarding your luxury Nile cruiser this afternoon for a 3-night journey.

- Days 6 - 7
Luxor
The cruiser reaches the west bank of Luxor where you'll take a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings. Walk through the lavishly decorated tombs of ancient pharaohs carved into the desert rock. See the Temple of Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon standing nearby. Then return to the cruiser where meals and onboard activities continue.

- Day 8
Luxor
After breakfast, you'll disembark and head to Karnak Temple, a large complex with sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls and obelisks all dedicated to the Theban gods. Next, explore Luxor Temple, which was dedicated to Amun and began construction during Amenhotep III's reign in the 14th century BC. Later today you'll transfer to your hotel with the rest of the day free to relax or wander around on your own.

- Day 9
Luxor to Cairo
Your Egypt tour comes to an end today. A transfer will pick you up and take you to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where your journey concludes.
