  1. Day 1

    Cavtat

    You'll arrive in Cavtat and meet your Holiday Director at the hotel this evening for a welcome meeting. It's a chance to settle in and get oriented before the trip begins.

  2. Day 2

    Kotor

    The drive to Montenegro takes you along the Dalmatian coastline with dramatic views the whole way. You'll stop in Perast, an ancient village where you'll board a boat to visit Our Lady of the Rock island church. After that, you'll explore Kotor's winding alleys, walk past old stone houses and check out the squares. The Boka Mountains provide a nice backdrop before heading back to the hotel.

    Dubrovnik

    You're heading to Dubrovnik Old Town, which is on UNESCO's list. The narrow streets keep things interesting as you walk the ancient ramparts and stroll down the Stradun promenade. You'll see the Rector's Palace museum and visit a Franciscan monastery that has Europe's oldest pharmacy. Later, you'll meet with a local women's community project and try their traditional foods. By evening, take the cable car up Srd Hill for views over the city and the Adriatic (75°F/24°C typical).

    This optional day takes you to Ston, a medieval fortress town on the coast that not many visitors find. You'll get a guided tour of the second-longest stone wall in Europe, then head to a family winery for tasting paired with a light traditional lunch.

    You'll sail on the Karaka, a 16th century style ship, out to the Elafiti Islands. First stop is Sipan, the largest island with wild herbs and Renaissance villas where lunch features typical Dalmatian seafood. Then you're off to Lopud island where you can walk up to a hilltop Franciscan Monastery with good island views and check out the altar paintings inside.
