Customer Reviews
- Matthew· July 8th, 2024Svalbard and the tour curated by Tourradar was amazing. The sites and experiences are indescribable. Likewise the crew of the Ocean Albatros go above and beyond the call of duty to make their guests feel very welcome and satsified with the excursions provided. This was not only my first trip to Europe, but my first cruise too. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to reach the top of the world and do so in a budget-friendly (despite still being very expensive) fashion.Show more
- Lawrence· June 24th, 2023Weather and wildlife were spectacular, made up for everything else. Communication, food, and some policies could be better.Show more
- Bert· July 21st, 2022We really enjoyed the Expedition, the Expedition Team was fantastic, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The food (i.e. dinner) was very good and of great quality. The ship itself was dated, our cabin (#518) was old and worn, it needed WC replacement, and also had very dated and stained bedlinen. Also, despite CoViD reminders of wearing masks and keeping distance, many crew and most guests did not adhere to this (this should have been enforced), and we ended up with Cruise guests with CoVid, which we tested positive for a few days later also as result of Cruise. This was a very unpleasant experience.Show more

Asked on September 23rd, 2024I thought I read somewhere that if I apply about $680 to the invoice amount it is like an insurance that will enable me to cancel one of the travellers without penalty. Is this the case?
- Albatros ExpeditionsOperator•Written September 2024
In case of cancellation of the cruise cancellation fees are: - Cancellations received 180 days or more prior to departure, are refundable less an administration fee of minimum USD 1,000.00 per person. - From 179 days to 91 days prior to departure cancellation costs are 25% of the total cruise tariff. - From 90 days until departure cancellation costs are 100% of the total cruise tariff.
