  • Svalbard - Last Stop before the North Pole 2026 reviewer 1
    · July 8th, 2024
Svalbard and the tour curated by Tourradar was amazing. The sites and experiences are indescribable. Likewise the crew of the Ocean Albatros go above and beyond the call of duty to make their guests feel very welcome and satsified with the excursions provided. This was not only my first trip to Europe, but my first cruise too. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to reach the top of the world and do so in a budget-friendly (despite still being very expensive) fashion.

On shore, we can expect temperatures of -2°C to 4°C. On the ocean – when observing wildlife from the decks – temperatures will rarely be above 2 degrees. Add to this a strong and often humid wind and the necessity of warm wind- and waterproof clothes, gloves and hats becomes obvious.

We highly recommend you bring: Thermal base layer, Mid-layer fleece, Jacket, Waterproof pants, Insulated parka/waterproof shell, Sturdy rubber boots, Hiking shoes, Waterproof gloves and glove liners, Thick socks, Swimsuit, Seasickness medication, High-protection sunglasses, Sunscreen & SPF lip balm, Waterproof backpack, Binoculars, Camera, extra batteries & memory cards.
