Itinerary
- Day 1
Victoria Falls
Your driver picks you up at Victoria Falls Airport and takes you to the hotel. There's a group meeting at 6pm to go over what's ahead, and the evening is free. If you want to check out Victoria Falls itself or grab dinner somewhere local, there's plenty to do around town, and the falls are definitely worth seeing if you have time.

Landmarks/POIs Victoria Falls - Days 2 - 3
Victoria Falls to Chobe River
Morning is yours to walk through the markets or try activities on your own. By afternoon you'll head across into Botswana toward the Chobe River and spend the night there. Next morning brings a game drive through Chobe National Park followed by a sunset cruise on the river where you'll watch for elephants, hippos, crocodiles and other animals coming down to drink.

Landmarks/POIs Chobe National Park Chobe River - Days 4 - 5
Chobe River to Okavango Delta
You drive through Chobe National Park into Namibia's Caprivi Strip, then back into Botswana to reach your lodge at the edge of the Okavango Delta. The next day you'll explore the delta by boat and traditional mokoro canoe, taking guided walks on smaller islands through waterways and grassy plains (depending on water levels at the time).

Landmarks/POIs Chobe National Park Caprivi Strip Okavango Delta - Day 6
Okavango Delta to Rundu
After leaving the Delta, you cross back into Namibia through the Caprivi Strip to a lodge sitting beside the Okavango River with views toward Angola. The afternoon is free to relax, or you can book an optional boat cruise on the river if you prefer to get out.

Rundu to Etosha National Park
You'll reach Etosha National Park and take your first game drive in the overland vehicle. The next day is a full day of game-viewing in open 4x4 vehicles from the lodge near the park entrance. The park is home to blue wildebeest, springbok, zebra, kudu, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, lion and elephant.

Etosha National Park to Damaraland
Today you travel to Damaraland, a region known for its prehistoric water courses, open plains, granite outcrops and deep gorges. Your lodge sits on a mountain with far-reaching views. Spend the afternoon taking in the landscape or just relax by the pool if you prefer.

Damaraland to Swakopmund
You drive south through Damaraland's mountain ranges, dry valleys and rugged terrain. Arriving in Swakopmund by afternoon, you'll have time to walk around this German colonial town and get a feel for it.

Landmarks/POIs Swakopmund - Days 11 - 12
Swakopmund to Sossusvlei
Heading south through changing scenery, you'll reach a lodge a few kilometers from the Namib Desert and Sossusvlei's dunes. Early the next morning you walk 5km leisurely into the desert to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, then hike through Sesriem Canyon. Watch for springbok, oryx and ostrich along the way.

Landmarks/POIs Namib Desert Sossusvlei Deadvlei Sesriem Canyon - Day 13
Sesriem to Fish River Canyon
Continuing south through varied landscapes, you'll reach your lodge in a scenic spot. Late afternoon takes you to Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon globally. At its deepest point the canyon drops 549 meters down.

Fish River Canyon to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
You head into the Kalahari and Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa. This vast reserve covers over 3.6 million hectares and is famous for its black-maned lions. Morning and afternoon game drives offer chances to spot Kalahari lions, other predators and wildlife across the sparse vegetation.

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park to Augrabies Falls National Park
Moving south to Augrabies Falls National Park, you'll pass lush wine farms along the way. In the afternoon you can view the falls from different angles as the Orange River drops 56 meters into the gorge. Locals call the falls 'Aukoerebis' or 'place of great noise.'

Augrabies Falls National Park to Namaqualand
You travel through Namaqualand, which is particularly beautiful from August to October when wildflowers bloom across the landscape. Overnight at a guesthouse at the base of Van Ryns Pass where you can join an optional wine tasting to try local wines.

Landmarks/POIs Namaqualand Van Ryns Pass - Days 18 - 19
Namaqualand to Cape Town
Going over the spectacular Van Ryns Pass, you'll arrive in Cape Town by mid-afternoon and spend the evening at the Waterfront checking out shops, restaurants and bars. The next day covers the Cape Peninsula with coastal drives via Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak, Table Mountain National Park and Cape Point, then back along the Indian Ocean side. A cable car ride up Table Mountain is included (weather permitting).

Your overland journey ends after breakfast and checkout from the hotel. A transfer to Cape Town Airport is arranged.
