Crispen (guide) and Harmony ( driver) were excellent. While some of the days were very long being on the road for over 9500kms really afforded a view of Africa the luxury safari goer doesn’t get to see. Saw the big five in copious numbers. Camped in some pretty unique environments. Dont’t think. Do!

I can't even describe how special and amazing this tour was. Pete and Francis (our guides) are truly what made the trip so amazing. They were both so kind, thoughtful and caring. It felt like a family away from home. Yes, the tour itself was extraordinary. The sites, sounds, tastes etc. Amazing. However, it is the people that make this tour and these people will always mean. The world to myself and my husband. If you go on this tour request these guides! You won't regret it!

Would it be possible to join the tour late on the 8th day in Namibia?

It is possible to join the Cape Town to Nairobi tour in Swakopmund (day 8) or in Windhoek (day 12). For the tour departing Cape Town on 04 Jan, the relevant dates would be 11 Jan (Swakopmund) or 15 Jan (Windhoek). There is already a discount on this tour and we would give a small additional discount for joining at either place.

when will it be guaranteed to go ahead? Also it appears the exchange rate has not being updated as in euro the price is showing as E3,995 plus E1,340 and that should be approx £3,328 plus £1,192 in GBP but the site converts it to £3,475 plus £1,255 GBP, a rough difference of £200GBP.... I can pay in either currency but I would prefer to pay in GBP.

    • Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperatorWritten March 2022

The first Cape to Kenya 41 days tour that we can guarantee departs Cape Town 25 June (ends Nairobi 04Aug). For departures in May, we can offer our Desert Tracker tour. In regard to exchange rates, we set prices based on historical averages and I regret we are not able to amend to current rates of the day. However we have no objection to your booking in EUR if it is better for you to do that.

    What is the Adventure Pass?

    Other
    • Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperatorWritten November 2017

Every Acacia Overland tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.
