- Karen· November 7th, 2023My overall experience was excellent. The tour was well organized and I was impressed with the all of the city tours. I didn't expect them to be so in depth. The guides had great knowledge and found the information very interesting. The only disappoint was the first hotel that we stayed in at Prague, some of the staff did not have a lot of knowledge on how to get to certain sites. But overall, an excellent experience.Show moreExpat Explore Travel commented on this reviewYour feedback means the world to us, and we're genuinely appreciative of the time you took to share your experience. Hearing that your tour was a resounding success brings us great joy. Thank you for your honest feedback about the first hotel in Prague,... Show moreTrip date: October 2023
- PPPatrick· November 7th, 2023A fast paced tour, as expected, but it gave me a taster of some European cities I'd not visited. The tour guide was pleasant, well organized and kept us informed of the schedule each day. The walking tours in all cities were good and very educational. Hotels were generally of a good standard, though the quality of breakfast varied: it was particularly poor in the hotel in Budapest, which was also very noisy (I wouldn't stay there again). The evening meal at the Bier Keller in Prague was poor, but the meal in Budapest was excellent, as were the buffets on the 2 boat cruises, which I would recommend. My only real issue on the tour was that the person I had to share with was a terrible snorer, and I had to rebook a single room for the final 5 nights of the tour, at great extra expense, and for 2 nights even at a different hotel to my tour group, returning each morning for breakfast. I'd like to book a single room on any future tours, but the single supplement is really extortionate! But overall, a tour I'd recommendShow moreExpat Explore Travel commented on this reviewWe appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback about your recent tour with us. We apologize for the inconsistencies you experienced in meal quality, especially in Budapest and Prague, and the challenges faced with the room share. Your feedback is... - JBJohn· January 12th, 2023I have nothing but accolades for our Prague to Budapest experience with Tour Radar and ExPat Travel. I was a little suspect at first when the tour overview didn't break down the in-country tour itineraries (i.e., "..we'll visit Parliament, St. Stephen's, etc. on our guided walk..") in order for making other excursion plans as not to double up on our must-sees. But, I must say, my overthinking was for not because of the free time afforded outside of the unique and thorough guided tours arranged by Ex Pat with great guides in every country! Big props to Justin, our travel guide-chaperone for herding our group to the right places at the right times, keeping it loose and moving with the hurdles of the day(s). His ease of travel added a calm to what for some could have been a nervous business of navigating strange cities. As well his knowledge of world history was both enlightening and entertaining! I can't say enough good things about it being a wonderful balance of touring and freedom to explore, combined. - JBShow moreTrip date: December 2022

- Larisa· January 3rd, 2023This trip was magical! It had all the perfect elements. The only detail that wasn’t *perfect* was the hotel in Vienna. It was kind of crappy, but it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the city or the entire trip. Also, Justin was really cool as a guide.Show moreTrip date: December 2022
- TRTara· January 3rd, 2023Traveling across Europe by train is the only way to go. Instead of loosing precious time getting from city to city our travel time was minimal, leaving more time in each city. I really enjoyed the tour leader and the individual guides in each city. Our group was small and lots of fun.Show moreTrip date: December 2022

Asked on March 18th, 2024Are international flights included in the tour price?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Whilst internal flights are covered for certain itineraries, you will have to make your way to the meeting point for the start of your tour. When booking flights be mindful of departure times and possible delays.
Tip: We suggest that you start comparing prices the moment your deposit is paid to avoid costly flights.

Asked on March 18th, 2024Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
We make every effort to include local cuisine on our tours to ensure an authentic experience for you. You'll receive an email before the tour begins, where we'll ask for your dietary preferences. We always have a vegetarian option, and we'll work hard to accommodate any other dietary needs or preferences you may have.

Asked on March 18th, 2024Do I need to exchange cash before I leave?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Contactless payment is widely accepted across Europe – it’s best to bring a payment card with no overseas withdrawal fees.
* Keep in mind that certain optionals are payable in cash to your tour leader whilst on tour. We suggest that you talk to your Tour Leader about when & where to draw cash to pay for the optional excursions.

Asked on March 18th, 2024If I wish to stay longer in the start or end destination, will Expat Explore assist with pre/post-tour accommodation?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
While Expat Explore cannot assist with booking pre or post-tour accommodation, we recommend Booking.com for affordable accommodation options prior to and after the tour. If hotel information is available, we can provide you with the details in advance so that you can book accommodation at or nearby the start hotel. Please request this by sending a message through on the conversation page.

Asked on March 18th, 2024Can Expat Explore issue me with a visa?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
While Expat Explore endeavours to stay current on all major entry requirements, we are not a registered visa agent. We are, however, able to make things a little easier by providing you with the required supporting documents for a visa application once your tour is paid in full. It is a requirement of the embassies that tours are paid for in full before visa support documentation is requested and applications are made. When you have made the final payment for your booking, simply reach out to our Customer Support Team to request your visa support documents and confirm which embassy you will be applying to.

Asked on March 18th, 2024How much spending money do I need for my holiday?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
This is up to you and will vary depending on how much you wish to spend on snacks, drinks, souvenirs etc. We do not include entrance fees to attractions and museums. We do, however, provide you with free time to see everything you want, and our tour leaders will have all the information on pricing and locations so you can manage your own budget. Please refer to your tour-specific pre-departure information and optional excursions guide for further details.

Asked on March 18th, 2024Is travel insurance compulsory?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
It's your responsibility to arrange sufficient travel insurance for your trip. When you travel with Expat Explore, both you and your personal belongings do so at your own risk. A comprehensive insurance policy should cover medical expenses for illness or accidents before or during the holiday, as well as reimbursement for lost holiday funds due to cancellation, curtailment, or other insurable events. Make sure there are no exclusions that would limit coverage for the activities included in your tour.
We generally recommend WorldNomads because they cover a wide variety of nationalities, but you are welcome to use any supplier that offers you the most comprehensive plan.
You are able to obtain travel insurance through one of TourRadars partners, XCover. Please reach out to receive a quote.

Asked on March 18th, 2024How fit do I need to be to join and what is the average age range?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
We embrace travelers of all ages and backgrounds, prioritizing attitude and mindset over age restrictions. However, our tours are fast-paced and jam-packed with experiences. Regrettably, individuals with mobility limitations or those using wheelchairs may find this tour challenging. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for exploring quaint towns and navigating cobblestone streets. We want every traveler to fully enjoy their journey, so we encourage reviewing the itinerary carefully before making your booking decision.
