The itinerary was very beautiful. We were glad that we had already been to Dolomites last year and sua the necessary experience. Because there were 2 very tough days in between. This also had to do with the hot weather. I think the combination was just too much. Tim briefed us on the first day. He took his time. The routes were easy to download in Komoot and we also had a Garmin GPX with us. The signs along the way gave times, which were misleading. Some trips really did take longer.

The tour is absolutely spectacular from start to finish. The organisation and communication with the hosts was smooth, the welcome meeting and detailed briefing was in person, which came to me as a big, but very positive surprise.. All instructions were very clear and we got to use the navigation app as well as the actual physical map. As first timers taking part in a self guided tour, to set our minds at ease we connected with the host via WhatsApp and we remained in contact with him for all our questions and concerns. Luckily, we did not have many. The hiking area is breathtaking, the route is not too easy, but a nice challenge for someone who likes to hike and is reasonably fit. The views and the surroundings of every step are unforgettable and I would gladly recommend it to everyone!

I’ve ridden several mountain biking tours in the Alps, and I can confidently say this tour in western Slovenia is among the most beautiful. Stunning surroundings and trails that truly impressed both my wife and me. I might have expected slightly easier climbs on some sections. Well-chosen hotels, excellent organization, and smooth execution made up for it. Katarina did an outstanding job. Throughout the tour, we had support and advice on courses and other details. Kudos for the seamless flow of the tour.

Will you have dates in Sep or Oct 2026 for Tour De Alps | Exclusive Alpine Mountain Biking?

    • LIFE AdventuresOperatorWritten August 2025

The latest possible start date for the tour is September 15th, 2026. After that, some mountain huts may already be closed. Weather conditions can also be less favorable – colder at higher elevations. If you would like a guided tour, which is required for a group of 10 people, I recommend scheduling it in the first half of September.

Sorry, I found the platform tricky to navigate on my phone. The dates recommended by Life adventures won't work for us as we need late Sep/early Oct so we are looking at different options.

We plan to start offering this tour as a self-guided tour in August 2025. We have been preparing this tour for the last two years, so we are now testing it in the spring, early summer, implementing certain variants, and then it will also be released as a self-guided tour.

We are looking to participate in a mountain bike tour or hut-to-hut hike the Alta Via 1 or 2. We prefer the mountain bike option but our dates are not so flexible. So the earliest we could start would be June 22 - but better if June 23. The latest we could begin would be June 25.

    • LIFE AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2025

Your date is too early for the self-guided option of this MTB tour. It could be confirmed later in the year - sometime in March 2025. We start this tour in August this year if we already have the entire navigation ready, the entire system of support.
