- Stephanie· March 7th, 2019This was one of the best things I’ve ever done, I had such a wonderful experience, made brilliant new friends and saw the most stunning scenery imaginable. YellowWood Adventures made the trip so enjoyable and painless, so if you want a different kind of adventure off the beaten track, I highly recommend you book with these guys!!”Show more
- StephenReels· March 5th, 2019I did a similar tour with Yellow Wood but one that incorporated the World Nomad Games at Issyk-Kul. The landscape was of course the star of the show, with an itinerary that allowed us to experience a range of locations, from the Silk-Road splendour of Tash Rabat to the unmatched serenity of Song-Kul, experiences enriched by tour leader Sam and his able crew of Kyrgyz assistants, always aware and attentive but never intrusive. Yurt accomodation was surprisingly comfortable and the food, prepared by local families, delicious and plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend Yellow Wood to anybody looking for a stimulating, memorable and ultimately exhilarating Kyrgyzstan escapade – particularly if Sam keeps his promise to upgrade the tour bus!Show more
- Rob· March 5th, 2019Had a great time...Iran’s Dizin is a great, varied-run ski resort, perfect for beginners but equally challenging enough for more advanced skiers. It’s size coupled with the lack of people skiing really makes you feel like you have the place to yourself. It was great to incorporate cultural elements into the trip – Tehran a bustling city perched on a slanting hillside nestled between picturesque snow-capped mountains with colourful flower markets and aromatic nuts, seeds and spices stools. The city has an ‘East meets West’ feel to it. The grand bazaar is ‘must do’ whilst in Tehran!Show more

Asked on February 5th, 2023I wanted to do a tour of the 3 Stans before or after this horse riding trip. Can you please give me some dates, I was thinking about 10-14 days in the Stans. I am interested in wildlife, what kind of things are we likely to see on the horse riding trip?
- Yellowwood Adventures LtdOperator•Written February 2023
We regularly run trips in especially Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan so will be happy to create a bespoke adventure for you prior to this Mongolia adventure (which is a guaranteed departure). We don't send our brochures but have a lot of information on our website. We will need to discuss this with you first. I suggest you pay the deposit for the Mongolia group tour when TourRadar will share your contact details then we can discuss the other sections.

Asked on April 29th, 2022I'd like to know if there's any way a separate excursion to a shaman could be arranged, outside of the normal tour offering of course?
- Yellowwood Adventures LtdOperator•Written April 2022
We will be very happy to arrange a private tour to a shaman after the adventure although this will take some consultation and a little time to organise with our local partners on the ground.

Traveler•Written April 2022Any thoughts on this and is it okay to hold off on booking a bit longer so we have better flight options potentially? Also, do you have vaccination reqs? And if the trip needs to be cancelled (whether pandemic or personal), what are the cancellation policies?
- Yellowwood Adventures LtdOperator•Written April 2022
Mongolia does not require testing upon arrival regardless of vaccination status. If we cancel the trip you are due a full refund - if you cancel the trip you will lose the deposit and varying % of the final payment dependent on when you do so as we have to sink costs to pay suppliers upfront.
