The itinerary was good but it was a large group of at least 40 which I think is too many some people found it hard to keep up,missed a swim in pool as the lunch serving was very slow also the 2 dinners both time served pasta and pork which was not good 2 nights in a rowShow moreTrip date: August 2024
Kerry· October 3rd, 2023The actual archaeological sites and the tour leader were great. However, the attitude of the staff at the Hotels we stayed in and the evening meals at the hotel were abysmal. Service was extremely slow and unhelpful, with a seemingly just enough is good enough attitude. My friend and I had booked twin beds but ended up with a double, despite the tour leader calling ahead and trying to arrange. it was annoying to have to pay each day for the tickets needed, perhaps it would have been better to pre-pay. Tour members came and went, with different booking arrangements it was hard for the tour leader to keep track. On the last day there were 45 people!! The 'whispers' (audio device) was not always working so at times we just had to be close to the tour guides.Show more

The guide - Placido certainly knew his subjects and was very happy to answer questions. The accomodation was all very good as were the breakfasts. .The group was large and I didn't realise that when I booked.
