Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Zion Canyon and Bryce Canyon

You'll start the day in Zion Canyon, walking around the base of those massive Navajo sandstone cliffs. The Emerald Pools trail is a good option for getting close to the rock formations, and you can also head to Temple of Sinawava and the Great White Throne area. After lunch, there's a ranger talk at the Human History museum that covers the park's background. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive over to Bryce Canyon where those distinctive red and orange hoodoo spires come into view. You'll camp here overnight, and there's an optional BBQ and campfire setup if you want dinner with other people in your group.

  2. Day 2

    Monument Valley

Your drive heads toward Monument Valley, passing through some striking Southwest landscape along the way. You'll pass Lake Powell and get views of that high desert scenery. Once you arrive at Monument Valley, you're in the heart of where a lot of classic western films were shot. A Navajo guide will take you out on a 4x4 jeep tour to see the iconic formations up close and learn the history from someone local to the area. By evening, you'll be camping right along the rim, and the starry skies here are really dark and clear. You'll catch the sunrise the next morning from basically your campsite.

  3. Day 3

Grand Canyon and Return to Las Vegas

You'll start by visiting a traditional Navajo trading post before heading toward the Grand Canyon. Once there, you have choices for how to spend your time. You can walk the rim trails, hike down into the canyon itself, or just sit in one of the rim cafes and take in the view. The route follows the Colorado River through the Painted Desert area, and you'll get those high vantage points looking down into the layers of rock. Later in the day, you'll head back toward Las Vegas with a stop along Historic Route 66 to break up the drive. You'll be dropped off around 9pm.

Well planned trip. Craig is a good compassionate leader. Good camping experience. If your not used to camping and sleeping on the ground they also have a hotel option. Very worthwhile trip.

An excellent tour of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Our guide Adriann did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable and provided interesting facts about the parks and answered everyone's questions. This was my first multi day tour as well as first camping experience (in a tent) and it was enjoyable. The parks were beautiful, albeit crowded for this time of year, but that didn't take away from anything. Couldn't have asked for better weather. There were 7 of us in our group and we all got along well. By the end we had a good comradery going. Saw a lot of wildlife including Bison, Elk, Big Horn Sheep, Prong horn, and even a Black Bear. Definitely a lot of driving. But I knew that going in and really just enjoyed the scenery. Look forward to my next adventure with this company.
