Our tour guide was quite disorganised in giving instructions. She would give schedules 2 days in advance and mix it up with current schedules or instructions. It was disappointing that she said when we were already in Santiago de Compostela, she mentioned it almost always rains there. And indeed it rained. - LLuisa· July 2nd, 2023When i book by 8 days tours to North of Spain and Portugal, i did not know that if you have less than 12 people in a tour you'll not have a tour guide until i started the tour. You need to notify this in the TOUR RADAR program. I really expected to know about the place we were going. The same affected the optional tours which we could not do: excursion to the Rías Atlas through typical villages as Pontedeume, Betanzos, etc., and the excursion to Santa Tecla and Valenza do Miño across the Portuguese border. The short stop we did to admire the Guggenheim Museum we were notified that Mondays are closed but it was opened when we arrived there, otherwise we could easily have visited the museum in an hour we stayed there. No shows on the departure day, 100% cancellation fee will apply.

It would be myself and my soon to be 14 year old son who has been to Spain with me and his dad multiple times but neither of us to the north. We are interested in the July 13-20, 2025 date. We would fly into Madrid two days before the tour in order to get acclimated to the time change etc. That said, what would be the closest, reasonably priced, full service hotel to Calle de Ferraz, 3, Madrid- the address of the tour company where the tourists need to be on the day of the trip. I would like to have a reasonably comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights after arriving from NY, before starting the tour.
