- Day 1
La Paz
You'll arrive in La Paz and head through customs and luggage pickup. Your guide and driver take you to the hotel, which takes about 25 minutes from the airport. The rest of the day is yours to rest and let your body adjust to the high altitude (La Paz sits at 11,975 feet/3,650 meters).

La Paz
A guided tour takes you through La Paz starting with the Government Palace, National Congress, and the Basilica de San Francisco in the main square. After that, you'll head out to Moon Valley to see the unusual lunar-like rock formations. You'll ride the Teleferico cable car system for views across the city, then finish at Witches' Market where local vendors sell crafts and traditional goods.

La Paz to Uyuni
Your flight to Uyuni takes 50 minutes. Once there, the tour starts in Colchani Village where artisans make salt handicrafts, then moves to the Salt Museum with its famous llama statues. You'll explore the Salar de Uyuni salt flat (during rainy season it reflects the sky like a mirror). The day includes the old salt hotel and Isla Inca Huasi with its towering cacti before a 1 hour 45 minute drive to your hotel.

- Day 4
Uyuni
Heading south from the salt flat, you'll drive about 3 hours 30 minutes through lagoons where Andean flamingos live: Canapa, Hedionda, Chaircota, and Honda (208km/129mi). Along the way you see Volcano Ollague from a sightseeing platform. After another 2 hours you reach Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve to explore the Siloli Desert. You'll stop at Rock Tree for photos and Laguna Colorada to watch pink flamingoes before heading to your hotel.

Uyuni
An early departure takes you 2 to 2.5 hours (150km/90mi) to Sol de Mañana Geyser with a packed breakfast. You'll walk among the geysers while watching sunrise and eating, then soak in hot springs at 5,000m/16,400ft altitude. Later you drive 50 minutes to Salvador Dali Desert for Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), a peaceful emerald-colored salt lake. Then comes a long 6 hour/350km transfer to Hotel de Sal Luna Salada.

- Day 6
Uyuni to La Paz
Your flight back to La Paz is followed by a transfer to Tiwanaku Ruins, one of the world's oldest and highest city ruins from 500 to 900 AD when it held 30,000 to 70,000 residents. You'll walk through the extensive ruins including houses, gates, temples, roads, sculptures, and an ancient irrigation system. After exploring, you head back to your hotel in La Paz.
