Itinerary
- Day 1
La Paz to Uyuni
You'll board an overnight bus from La Paz heading toward the highlands. The bus has reclining seats and blankets, so settle in and try to get some rest during the journey. You'll arrive in Uyuni as the sun comes up, giving you time to freshen up before starting the salt flats activities.
- Day 2
Uyuni
The day starts at the Train Cemetery where you'll see old rusting locomotives scattered across the salt landscape. From there, head to Colchani Village to watch how locals extract salt by hand and check out the artisan shops. You'll walk among huge piles of salt, see the natural pools called Ojos de Sal, and hike across Isla Incahuasi with its tall cacti. Tonight you're staying at Hotel de Sal, which is built entirely from salt bricks, and dinner is included.

Siloli Desert - Laguna Colorada
After breakfast at Hotel de Sal, you'll drive out to see Volcán Ollague and then visit three lagoons known for flamingos: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Honda. The route takes you through the Siloli Desert where you'll see rock formations shaped by wind. Lunch happens out in the landscape, and later you'll stop at the Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree). By evening you'll reach Laguna Colorada with its bright red water and pink flamingos, where you'll stay overnight at a local hostel.

Geysers - Uyuni
Get up early to see the sunrise at Sol de Mañana geyser field with its mud pools and steam. After that, soak in the natural hot springs at Aguas Termales to warm up. You'll then check out the Rocas de Dalí formations, visit Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca with Licancabur Volcano visible in the distance, and explore Valle de Rocas with its dramatic carved rocks. On the way back to Uyuni, you'll pass through the villages of Culplina and San Cristóbal. That evening, you'll board the overnight bus back to La Paz and travel through the night under the stars.

Uyuni to La Paz
Your overnight bus pulls into La Paz early in the morning, and you've arrived in Bolivia's capital. This wraps up the Uyuni salt flats tour, though you're now positioned to explore La Paz itself and the surrounding Andean region if you want to continue your trip.
