Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
After landing and getting through customs, your guide meets you and takes you to the hotel for a 2:00 PM check-in. Once you're settled, grab lunch and then head out to see Old and New Delhi, including stops at Jama Mosque, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, plus driving past India Gate and President House. The day wraps up with a welcome dinner in the evening.

Delhi to Jaipur
It's a 260 km drive to Jaipur taking about 6.5 hours. When you arrive, check into your hotel and spend the evening checking out the local market on your own time to get a feel for the city.

Jaipur
Head out early for a jeep trip to Amer Fort, which sits roughly 11 km outside the city. After walking through the fort, stop by Hawa Mahal for photos. Later, visit City Palace to see its museum with rare manuscripts, paintings, and royal weapons and garments. Then go to Jantar Mantar to check out the astronomical instruments and the 30-meter sundial. If you're interested, there's an optional Bollywood movie at Rajmandir theatre in the evening.

Jaipur to Agra
Today's a 240 km drive to Agra, taking roughly 6 hours, with a stop along the way to explore Fatehpur Sikri, an old royal city that's been abandoned. Once in Agra, visit the Red Fort with its white marble Pearl Mosque, palaces, halls and courtyards. As evening arrives, see the Taj Mahal at sunset, the monument Shah Jahan built to honor his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Agra to Khajuraho
Early morning transfer to Agra Railway Station to catch the Bhopa Shatabadi Express to Jhansi (7:55 AM arrival at 10:45 AM). From there, drive toward Khajuraho but stop in Orchha, a 16th century town along the Betwa River with well-kept palaces and temples. After exploring, continue to Khajuraho, settle in, and have the rest of the day free.

Khajuraho to Varanasi
Take it slow this morning in Khajuraho. In the afternoon, visit the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a UNESCO site with Hindu and Jain temples known for intricate architectural details and carvings. After that, drive to Varanasi and check into your hotel upon arrival.

Varanasi
After breakfast, go to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and Hinduism's holiest location. During the afternoon, take a trip to Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first teachings on the path to Nirvana. See the stupas from Emperor Ashoka's time and the Sarnath Museum. In the evening, watch the sacred Aarti ceremony along the Ganges River.

Landmarks/POIs Sarnath - Day 8
Varanasi to Lucknow
Start early at the Ganges Ghats to see morning prayers, meditation, and ritual bathing, then take a boat ride along the river. Head back to the hotel for breakfast and visit some temples before going to the railway station for the Intercity Express to Lucknow. Once you arrive in this 'City of Nawabs,' transfer to your hotel for the night.

Lucknow to Delhi
After breakfast, take a city tour visiting Asifi Imambara (built in 1784 as a famine relief project), the Husainabad Complex, and the Clock Tower, Asia's highest. Drive past Sadat Ali Tomb and see Chatar Manzil palace from outside. Walk through the local market to see Chikankari embroidery and try a tonga ride. You can also taste Tunda Kabab if interested. Later, head to the railway station for the Swarna Shatabdi train to New Delhi (3:35 PM departure, 10:15 PM arrival). From Delhi, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
