- MMenchu· January 18th, 2020We did a 5 day Annapurna to Poon Hill trek last week and had a really great time. My second time with Ace the Himalaya I did EBC with them back in 2014. Our guide Dipesh was awesome! Went above and beyond to make us comfortable in the mountains along with our porters Amish, Sumit and Kismut. My team highly recommends Dipesh to be your guide in fact we want to have him again for our Island Peak adventure in 2021. We hope he will be chosen as Guide of the Year 2020! I’ve recommended Ace the Himalaya to a bunch of my friends too.Show moreTrip date: January 2020

- BDBarbie· December 3rd, 2016If you want an adventure to remember do a trek with the Ace the Himalaya company. Travelling on my own was rather daunting but I was met at the Airport and taken to a hotel and looked after at all times. I am an older person and In November 2 years ago I trekked with six other people. We went by bus from Katmandhu to Pokhara and then did a five day trek. Naya Pui/ Tikhedunga/ Ghorapani/ Tadpani/ Gandruk/Naya Pui. I cannot speak highly enough of our guide, Milan, who was enthusiastic, caring and encouraging throughout the trek. The accommodation and food was great and I'd have to say it was one of the most memorable trips I have done. If you would like to contact me please feel free - duffybw@hotmail.com. - RRadostina· November 16th, 2016I really enjoyed my trip. It was well organized. The guides were so nice and patient and made us feel secured and at home at all times. Th hosts were goodhearted and provided warm and delicious food.Show moreTrip date: November 2014
- KRKeith· November 4th, 2016My first trip with Ace, the Annapurna Circuit, was superb. Right from being met at the airport, through activities in Kathmandu, the trek itself and my add-on trip to the Jungle Resort, everything was seamlessly organized, enormously supportive and informative with all the members of our party - I was on my own and had joined another small group. Our guide, Suman Thapa, was always cheery, always had lots of interesting information about wherever we were and was very caring for us all as individuals. I had a minor altitude incident and he dealt with that really well including being able to check in with base. What I think was most telling was talking to other trekkers and being able to make comparisons about costs, accommodations and what was offered by the guides. We were all SO glad to be with ACE on all counts. I did a second trip with Ace, this time to Everest Base Camp. I was on my own with a guide and porter. There was less interaction but I was certainly well cared for infall aspects. At the end of the trek, I had asked for a special trip to explore the local brick making and pottery. This was superb, well organized and informative with a great guide. I could not have asked for better.Show moreTrip date: October 2012
- JAJennifer· October 30th, 2016An absolutely amazing experience with an incredible local company comprised of employees from the region. Very well organized and accommodating. Even better, and more importantly, the trekking guides are well-trained in what they do. I will definitely travel with ACE again when I trek in Nepal.Show moreTrip date: November 2015
- NSNeil· October 28th, 2016We have recently returned from trekking the Annapurna Circuit. To ensure we got the most out of the venture, we used Ace the Himalaya as our tour provider. They were exceptional in every aspect. Dipak, our guide, and Ganesh and Krishna our porters, were knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely helpful, and ensured we enjoyed our trip to the max. The whole experience was professionally organized and run from go to whoa. Neil & Julieanne Snare.Show moreTrip date: September 2016
- Ppierre· October 27th, 2016My trip around the Annapurna was a real pleasure! Not only I had a good team of guides and porter but also the organization, transportation and hotel were organized to ensure safety and comfort. I would definitely recommend Ace the Himalaya as a local agency to use for your trips in HimalayasShow moreTrip date: October 2013

Asked on February 22nd, 2022I am interested in doing a trek around Annapurna, including side trips to Tilicho Lake, Jhong, Dhalagiri Icefall, Ngawla/Nar Phu, and potentially other side trips with just me and one guide. I would like to rest approximately every 6-7 days. What do you think? What would be the total cost for a 28 day trip that includes these side trips? Please exclude lodging and food which I can pay to the lodge but include all other expenses. I would like to have a target plan but then change it as we go along.
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written February 2022
About 4 weeks can be enough for Annapurna Circuit with Nar Phu, Tilicho Lake and Dhaulagiri Icefall. Our current trek itinerary doesn't have all these and we can customize the itinerary to your request. Do you have a prior experience of multi-day trekking in high altitudes? I am asking because the trek you are requesting will cover a lot of places and can be very challenging. We sell a package trip so all your food, accommodation, permits, transportation, etc will be included.

Asked on February 7th, 2022Could you tell me how many people are booked in for the tour on these dates?
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written February 2022
For now, there is no one for this trek starting on March 5, 2022. But the trek is guaranteed to run even for a single trekker. The date is open for booking, so we hope we receive other clients for this date.

Asked on January 8th, 2022Do you offer any shorter trips once we return back to Kathmandu from the Annapurna circuit? I read about a jungle resort tour? Or any suggestions on day trips
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written January 2022
Yes we can arrange a jungle safari package to Chitwan National Park, one of the best places to view wildlife in Nepal. You can directly go to Chitwan from Pokhara instead of returning to Kathmandu.

Maria
Traveler•Written January 2022Would you recommend Ace the Himalaya? What's the best price for this 22 day trip? We are interested in the jungle safari package and white water rafting if they can be added.
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written January 2022
Ace the Himalaya can provide a discounted price of USD 2,000 per person. Chitwan Jungle Safari will cost USD 500 per person and includes two nights' stay, local permits, transportation, and activities. Rafting in Trishuli River will cost USD 240 per person including gear, guide, and transportation.

Traveler•Written August 2022What vaccinations will we need for the Annapurna trip?
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written August 2022
You just need to get vaccination against COVID-19 for doing Annapurna Circuit trek. The other vaccines are not required but if you have them then this would be a plus point to you.
- M
Maria
Traveler•Written August 2022So we just need to bring proof of Covid vaccination for the trip? Like the CDC vaccination card?
- Ace the HimalayaOperator•Written August 2022
Yes, you just need a proof of COVID vaccination and CDC vaccination card is enough.

Asked on May 29th, 2017What opportunities will I have for shower along the trek?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017In major places, we arrange guesthouse with hot shower. And in rest of the places, water in bucket will be provided for shower.
- D
Dale
Asked on May 29th, 2017Do I need to tip my guide and porters? How much would that be?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 20 to USD 1000 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost for tipping entire local staffs, the ratio of tipping guide and porter will be given to you at the pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before starting the trek.
- D
Dale
Asked on May 29th, 2017How much additional money do I need per day?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017It depends on your spending habits. Generally, in Kathmandu and Pokhara, you can allocate USD 10 to USD 15 for a lunch and a dinner. USD 15 to USD 15 per person a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, pay for the hot shower and a few drinks during the trekking.
