- JWJon· October 28th, 2016Ace is most thorough and knowledgable. Trekking with Ace to the Everest Base Camp was the most fantastic trek I have had with Ace. Second only to the Thailand adventure I booked through them!Show moreTrip date: October 2012
- BWBeth· October 27th, 2016I travelled in Nepal with two friends in August/September 2013, we had an absolutely amazing trip and a lot of that was down to Ace the Himalaya. Right from the start they were fantastic, booking was easy, price was reasonable, staff were incredibly friendly and very knowledgable. We really got the feeling that the staff and company were dedicated to making our trip special and clearly really love their country and just want to share it with as many people as possible! I have since recommended Ace to a few friends thinking of travelling in the region and would very highly recommend Ace to anyone thinking of going to Nepal!Show moreTrip date: September 2013

Asked on May 26th, 2017What opportunities will I have for shower along the trek?
- D
Dale

Asked on May 26th, 2017Do I need to tip my guide and porters? How much would that be?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 20 to USD 1000 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost for tipping entire local staffs, the ratio of tipping guide and porter will be given to you at the pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before starting the trek.
