- Jonathan David· July 10th, 2025We arrived at our hotel on day 1 of the ‘fully guided’ tour to discover there was no guide. The same apparently applies tomorrow. We were also advised to pick up bus vouchers so that we could tour Rome on a bus. The hotel informed us that they had received no vouchers. We were then wrongly directed to the bus stop, wasting a further 2 hours and missing our private booking at the Colosseum. Okay we adapted only to find out others on the tour we're able to visit this unnamed site! Bummer for sure. We booked other tours which were great but ended up switching guides and transport multiple times hauling our luggage the whole time. Oh well we adapted and pushed through. It often felt like we were nomads with other tour groups. We are initially interested in the Lake Como area (Bellagio, Nesso, Orrido di Bellano, and Varenna), including, if possible, a one-way trip on the Bernina Express. We have a credit with Yourradar, and our total budget would be around 1,000 €. We are open to other European destinations, preferably close to Spain, with the trip ideally taking place at the end of October or the beginning of November. We are looking for the planning and booking process to be as quick and simple as possible.
