Itinerary
- Day 1
Palermo
You'll land at Palermo Airport and get a private transfer to Hotel Palazzo Sitano or a similar property. Once you're settled in your room, grab dinner either at the hotel restaurant or head out to a local spot in the area.
- Day 2
Piazza Armerina - Catania
Head to Cefalu, a coastal town where you'll see the Norman Cathedral and its Mosaic of Christ Pantocrator up close. Walk around the city center and check out the medieval wash-house carved into the rock. From there, travel inland to Piazza Armerina to visit Villa Romana del Casale, a UNESCO site known for its collection of late Roman mosaics. You'll end the day in Catania, staying near Etna's Park.

Taormina
After breakfast, take an excursion up Mount Etna, Europe's tallest active volcano, reaching 1900 meters to see the Sylvester Craters with views over the Ionian Sea (weather allowing). Next, head to Taormina where you'll have free time to shop for handmade lace, coral jewelry, and ceramics on Corso Umberto or wander the narrow streets. Check out the Greek-Roman theatre at your own pace before heading back to your Catania hotel for dinner on your own.

Noto - Ragusa
After breakfast, travel to Syracuse to explore Sicily's most important Greek colony. Visit Neapolis archaeological park, which includes the Latomie of the Paradise, the Greek Theatre, and the Ear of Dionysius. Then explore Ortigia island with its Baroque buildings, the Cathedral (built where the Temple of Minerva once stood), the Fontana Arethusa, and the Temple of Apollo. You'll have free time for lunch in Ortigia. In the afternoon, head to Noto to see its Baroque architecture (a UNESCO site), then continue to Ragusa for your accommodation.

Modica - Agrigento
Start with breakfast, then head to Ragusa Ibla to see the Cathedral in Piazza del Duomo and the Giardino Ibleo garden. Next, go to Modica to walk through its two sections with Baroque churches and scenic squares, and try some of the local chocolate. Later, travel to Agrigento to visit the Valley of Temples, a UNESCO site, where you'll see the well-preserved Temple of Concord and the temples of Juno and Heracles.

After breakfast, explore the Archaeological Park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean, with its temples and acropolis. Stop at a local farmhouse to taste their olive oil before lunch. Continue to Marsala on the western coast to walk through the historic center and visit a winery for tastings and to learn about how they make their wine. You'll finish in Palermo with accommodation and dinner on your own.

You'll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, go to Monreale to see its huge Norman Cathedral (a UNESCO site) and its Arab-Norman cloister. The rest of your afternoon is yours to do as you like.
