- KKerry· November 4th, 2024Our CEO, Linda Mortimer, was excellent but I had several difficulties signing up for the tour. Specifically I could not buy additional insurance for our extra days traveling after the tour, G adventures would not arrange transport from the Berlin airport to the hotel at the tour start, and there were other isues. Also didnot likeso muh free time and had to make tours and arrange some activities ourselves, although Linda was a great help with this.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review, Gary! - SKSusan· August 29th, 2024The itinerary was well planned,, and our guide went out of her way to make sure we were all notified of our daily tours and any changes to our schedule. She suggested things to do and see as she "tailor-made" the tour for us. The guide had a personal touch which bonded us as a group. Highly recommended.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Susan! We are so glad you enjoyed you time exploring Eastern Europe with us. We hope to welcome you on another adventure in the near future!Trip date: August 2024
- JFJennifer· April 7th, 2024This was an amazing tour, shared with an amazing group and group leader, Karolina. We saw wonderful sights including Krackow, Vienna, Prague and Berlin and had such a moving experience of Auschwitz (the reason we selected this tour). It was an action packed holiday. Hotels were all of a good standard. My only caution would be that if you a re a little older and not completely fit, you may find it very hard. Several kilometres would be walked most days, and it was a little hectic catching public transport on certain days. Overall, for myself, it was wonderfulShow moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your experience and beautiful photos with us, Jennifer! - WMWarren· August 6th, 2023Excellent tour and with a small group it was easy to get to & enjoy everything. There were a couple of hiccups. More to do with local public transport and out of the hands of our CEO, Jakub. He took everything in stride though and went above and beyond to assist some of the group when they needed it My first group tour and I was pleasantly surprised. G Adventures did a stellar job with this tour and comments from other, who have done other G Adventures’ tours, members of group said they are generally good valueShow moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Warren, Thanks for the positive feedback about The Best of Eastern Europe itinerary. - Paul· April 30th, 2023Walking tours were as boring as b*********, I don’t think people decide to go on tours to receive a University lecture! Also, being coeliac, I was constantly encouraged to have dinner with tour group even though menus were unsuitable and when I knew there were eateries that had more suitable options for me personally, and, because of being tied up with tour group there wasn’t sufficient time to explore cities such as Berlin, Vienna and for me personally Budapest.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Paul, Thank you for your feedback. - ACelia Armour· June 16th, 2022My trip to Eastern Europe was outstanding and spectacular. I loved the interesting itinerary, exploring so many countries, visiting so many palaces, museums, and other places of interest It even included a very sobering, humbling visit to Auschwitz. I enjoyed the variety of ancient cities and historical old towns as well as the train rides through beautiful countryside. Every day was a new, wonderful, exciting experience. I also really appreciated the small group limit; we all became immediate friends and bonded well from Day 1 We were able to do many things together because we were a small, intimate group and we all cared for each other's welfare as we travelled I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone interested in history, culture, and travelling without the hassle of preparing their own arrangements. It was a joy to be with GadventuresShow moreTrip date: May 2022Review collected by G Adventures

Asked on June 4th, 2025Is there adequate time devoted to visiting Auschwitz. I want to get the full experience without being in a hurry?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Yes, there will be adequate time devoted to visit Auschwitz. The majority of the day on Day 4 of the tour is designated to this visit.

Lisa
Asked on June 1st, 2025What do you mean by "Opt" to visit certain places? Is it for Optional Experience not included in tour price? If so, what are the prices. For example, Day 5 Krakow. Opt to visit Rynek Glowny.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Some activities during the tour will be included and some will be available to book in destination with your tour leader at an additional charge. In Europe all year-round we highly recommend booking reservations for any popular optional activities/museum tickets etc. in advance to avoid encountering sold-out activities on the ground while on tour. For day 5, this will be a free day so the optional visit it mentions is some activities available to do in the area.

Asked on May 20th, 2025Is this a very high intensity tour? I am thinking of coming with my grandmother who is 79 :)
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
The trip has a light physical rating, so nothing to strenuous, but there is quite a bit of walking on this trip
- A
Amelia
Traveler•Written May 2025If there is a day where there excessive walking, could she stay back? Or is it a lot of walking every day.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Yes it is possible to skip certain activities and meet the group afterwards, although on travel days when moving from one city to the next, of course the group must stay together.

Amelia
Traveler•Written June 2025Is it possible that the 8.17 start day tour will go back down to the 2.3k price? Just curious as we were hoping to book soon
- G AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
The August 17 departure is currently on sale and is 25% off. This sale will end at the end of the month. You must book during the sale period to get the sale price. Some of our highest sale prices are the 25% off promo so it is most likely not going to be anymore of a sale then the current sale.

Asked on April 1st, 2025We are senior citizens both myself and my husband are strict vegetarians No meat no eggs no seafood We are not vegans Do you have breakfast meals to suit our needs We are interested in Europe tour 14 days covering Germany Poland Czech etc Do you have senior discounts Pl confirm Tks
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
From our internal notes, the dietary restriction of a vegetarian diet has a very low ability to be accommodated for in this region of the world. We cannot guarantee that there will be much variety. No meat may be available but with limited availability. Eggs will be the trickiest as they are a primary ingredient in many European dishes (in both savoury and sweet options). You would need to add this to your Good to Go profile so then we may notify your CEO (tour leader) and our local office accordingly. The CEO will do their best to assist you while on tour but you would be primarily responsible for expressing your dietary needs - and perhaps being flexible if pressed. We do not have senior-based sales; rather, we have monthly-based sales with a various selection of applicable tours. You may review departures with sales assigned to them from the TourRadar website or our G Adventures website.

Asked on March 30th, 2025Where is your company based, which country, any 0800 number to call, where is your office? Which company is conducting the tour? Is this a group tour by luxury couch, sughtseeing, hotels & food in NZ dollars?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
The transportation used on this tour is a combination of train, long-distance bus and a local bus. Currency for payment will be in the country you reside, so can be NZD.

Asked on March 28th, 2025Can I take a direct flight from Detroit to Amsterdam, and then take the tour from there?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
For this tour, you will need to fly to Berlin as it starts there, and it ends in Budapest, so you would fly out of Budapest at the end of the trip. You can book a multi city round trip to fly into Berlin and out of Budapest.

Asked on March 27th, 2025Is this advertised as a tour for solo travellers? Is accommodation shared and will a solo supplement be applicable? What is the maximum number on the tour?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
This trip is sold on a twin share basis. You can either be paired up with a person of the same gender or opt to have a single room for an extra supplement. The maximum number on this trip would be 16.
- J
Jasmine
Traveler•Written March 2025So it isn't a solo tour as per the advertising. It is a standard tour that may be all couples or groups, where I can choose to share a room with a stranger or pay the solo supplement?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Our trips especially for solo travelers are called 'Solo-ish'. The trip you enquired about is not one of our solo-ish trips, so this trip is open to anyone including groups and couples. We currently only have 2 solo-ish trips in Europe: Solo-ish Spain and Solo-ish Turkey.
