10 Days in Central America, incl. Granada and Antigua
A 10-day Latin American odyssey through 5 cities across 4 countries costs approx. $210 per day. The route leads from Granada's colonial streets to Antigua's cobblestones, with 3 included breakfasts and 2 dinners. Copan's UNESCO ruins, Mombacho Volcano, and Suchitoto's cultural heritage await with expert local guides.
- Days 1-3
Nicaragua: Start in Granada, Nicaragua's oldest colonial city.
Plan to arrive early and wander the cobblestone streets before your 6 PM welcome meeting. Book your flight to Managua Airport for mid-afternoon since the drive to Granada takes about an hour and evening traffic can be heavy. On day 2, take a 4x4 up Mombacho Volcano and bring a light jacket for the cooler summit temps. The cloud forest trails get slippery in wet weather so pick shoes with good traction. Visit León next to see revolutionary street art that tells Nicaragua's story. "The murals in León are incredible - ask your guide about the historical events depicted, it really brings them to life," one traveler shared. Make the most of day 3 in León. Start at the Cathedral area before 9 AM when street vendors serve local breakfast specialties. If you're up for some adventure, try volcano sandboarding for about $45. Just remember to wear long sleeves since the volcanic sand can be rough.
- Days 4-6
El Salvador: You'll spend most of day 4 crossing borders between Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador.
Bring small USD bills for border fees. By evening, you'll reach El Cuco. The next day takes you to San Salvador's UNESCO-listed El Rosario Church before moving on to Suchitoto. Learn to make pupusas, El Salvador's national dish, in a local workshop. The best pupuserias are near Central Plaza. Look for the spots filled with locals. Walk through Cinquera Forest with a former guerrilla fighter who shares personal stories from the civil war. The trails are moderate but the humidity is strong, so pack extra water.
- Days 7-8
Honduras: Visit the UNESCO ruins at Copán.
- Days 9-10
Guatemala: Your trip ends in colonial Antigua.
10 Days Caribbean Island-Hopping, incl. St. Martin and Barbados
A luxurious 10-day sailing visits 9 ports across 7 Caribbean countries, costing approx. $900 per day. Gustavia's French charm, Basseterre's colonial heritage, and Mayreau's pristine beaches await. Includes 26 meals, luxury yacht accommodation, and expert-guided shore excursions.
- Day 1
Marigot, St. Martin
- Day 2
Gustavia, St. Barthélemy
A quick sail brings you to stylish St. Barts. Start at Shell Beach early before the crowds arrive at 11 AM. The walk to Colombier Beach from the harbor takes about 30 minutes on rough terrain so bring good shoes and water. Book lunch spots in advance since most restaurants fill up fast in peak season.
- Day 3
Basseterre, St. Kitts
- Day 4
Falmouth Harbour, Antigua
- Day 5
Îles des Saintes, Guadeloupe
- Day 6
Saint-Pierre, Martinique
- Day 7
Soufrière, St. Lucia
The Pitons create a spectacular harbor setting. Take a morning boat tour for the best views. Visit the sulfur springs later in the day when it's less busy. A recent visitor shared: "The mud baths at the sulfur springs left my skin amazing, but bring dark swimwear - the sulfur can stain light colors."
- Days 8-9
Mayreau & Tobago Cays, St. Vincent & Grenadines
These spots offer excellent snorkeling. Visit Tobago Cays Marine Park in the morning when waters are calm to see sea turtles. Try the beach BBQ on Petit Rameau. Salt Whistle Bay stays quiet if you arrive before other boats at 10 AM.
- Day 10
Bridgetown, Barbados
Book flights after 11 AM to have enough time getting off the boat. If your schedule allows, take a morning tour of the Mount Gay Rum distillery before heading to the airport.
10 Days in Central America, incl. Guatemala and El Salvador
A grand tour through 15 Latin American destinations across Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador costs around $2,300. UNESCO sites like Tikal and Joya de Cerén, Rio Dulce's waterways, and colonial charm in Antigua Guatemala unfold over ten days. Includes expert guides and daily breakfast.
- Day 1
Guatemala City
- Day 2
Guatemala City to San Salvador (270 km)
Start early for El Salvador. Visit Joya de Cerén, known as the 'Pompeii of the Americas.' Get there by mid-morning to beat the heat since there isn't much shade. You'll see well-preserved Mayan households and farming areas from 600 AD. Next up is the Tazumal archaeological site before reaching San Salvador.

What people love about 10-day Latin America tours
- Brazil and Argentina with Iguazu Falls 4 Star
Wanderful Holidays kept in touch with us throughout the trip via WhatsApp which was very handy. The travel doc also had everything we needed in one spot including operator contact details, times, hotels and pickup times. Airport transfers were always smooth. One of the hotels we had had an issue with check in/ electricity so 1 star lost there, but Wanderful were conducive to feedback. Overall good experience and would book with them again

Tour guides have agents and tour companies like tourradar use these agents to book the guides that will be taking you on the tours. The availability and quality of these guides largely depends on how far out you book them - according to a travel agent friend. If you wait until a week before the arrival of the guest, then your probably not going to get the best guides. I am not sure who vets the guides or how they are rated so I am only guessing that its probably the agents. I asked one of our guides when he got the booking - he said yesterday - maybe that's the agents fault - I don't know. The same can be said about booking airline flights. If you don't buy the seats and baggage upgrades when you book the flight you might end up in the back of the plane and pay at check-in for your overweight bags. The internal flights booked by tourradar were without baggage upgrades or seat assignments. We got a notice from tourradar the day before our flight to the falls about the weight limit for our bags. They checked us in 24 hrs before our flights. We were in the back of the plane on one flight and row 3 on another. There is a point in the process of booking a tour where tourradar has all their money - that's the point, in my mind, when they should have booked our guides, hotels, and flights. Our itinerary was not available until 4 days before our departure! There also was no inquiry about where we like to sit - assuming that tourradar is our travel agent. We booked a private tour and that was provided except at the falls where it became a group tour. Tourradar had a guide problem but they found room on a tour bus for us to tour the falls and offered an additional excursion in Rio as compensation. I was impressed by that. I choose "Good" as a rating because I think it could have been better. I got the feeling that there were an abundance of last minute stuff.
