- Jennifer· May 29th, 2023We had an amazing time once we got there- but we were really unprepared for the journey to get to the Pantanal. We were greeted at the airport by our driver who informed us that we had a 4.5 hour ride then we were transferred to a truck to take us another 45 minutes on a bumpy dirt road and then a 45 minute boat ride in the pitch black. Had we been ready for that- no problem- but we were given no warning and we were not dressed for it. We also would have booked flights accordingly so we would have to arrive at midnight. We actually changed our return flights because we didn’t want to go through the river again in the dark. Once we arrived we had the best time and saw amazing wildlife and farm animals. We were well looked after and had delicious home cooked meals and an excellent tour guide.Show more

This trip keeps you moving from one place to another (a plus in our opinion), and we never had any issues with our transportation. Our drivers were always on time and wonderful. Our guides and activities were awesome. Accommodation was consistently fair, but you should not expect fancy... which is in keeping with the price. We were happy with every aspect of this tour.Show more

Asked on June 12th, 2023From what I understand the bus from Salvador to Lençois is not part of the tour, am I right? I still don't have airplane ticket and am considering other destinations since Chapada is a hard place to reach.

On the 9th of OCT, there are 2 persons doing the Caves in Lençois and, on the 10th, the Fumaça Waterfall. Are you willing to accommodate your travel dates to join them? Bear in mind that is not a big group; nevertheless, the adventure is amazing and unforgettable.

In order to connect with the public bus to Lençois, we recommend a night, pre and after, in Salvador de Bahia. The bus takes around 6 hours. The restaurants in Lençois have several vegetarian and vegan options. I am a vegetarian and the offer there is very good indeed. In Lençois we recommend you stay at the Vila Serrano Hotel.
