- Jane· April 14th, 2022Our 10-day combined Morocco tour offered as the chance to visit the most exciting places in Morocco. An adept trek in morocco tour guide picked us up from our hotel in Marrakech--we headed north to the cities of Rabat, Meknes and also enjoyed spectacular experiences at Chefchaouen and the Roman ruins at Volubilis. Our next destination was Fes, then later the Sahara desert. We passed through the Atlas Mountains as we drove off to Todra Gorge, then the Atlantic Coast. We were later dropped off to Marrakech city.Show moreTrip date: March 2022
- Bridget· February 11th, 2020We loved the combined Morocco 10 day trip, ended up being just the 2 of us and felt like a private tour. Parts of the trip you are dropped off and left to explore on your own for example the 2 days in beautiful port of Essaouira. Other parts are fully guided such as the 4 days trekking in the Atlas Mountains which was stunning and at a comfortable pace for us and the trusty mule. Be aware the gite accomodation during this stage is very basic but if you like camping and hiking this shouldn't be a problem. The trekking food far exceeded my expectations, best tagines we had in Morocco! For the final few days it's a bit of a whistle stop tour of attractions. Seeing the Chebbi desert was wonderful but at this point you are combined with lots of other tours to go en masse on camel back to a standing camp in the desert. Well organised but one of the more 'touristy' experiences of the trip, not our cup of tea however the sunsets were stunning. The trip is such good value, nice hotel stays and we covered a lot of miles which would have cost a fortune as a self drive. Lots more meals were included than I expected. Would highly recommend.Show moreTrip date: January 2020
- ALAnne Gerd· June 22nd, 2019We had an fantastic trip. Our guide in the Atlas, was reliable, positive, kind and knew the mountains very well. He suggested the track and calculated the walking time based on our health and possibilities. Only an excellent guide can calculate that good as he did. Our second guide, Hassan, made the food. And what food! It was cery tadty and beautifylly decorated. We all missed his food the rest of the trip, even we hot good food every places. We stayed in different accommodation units, some were simple cabins in the mountains, others were lovely hotels or apartments, the common thing was that they were all clean and we felt safe. Since we moved every day, logistics was important. Here, too, we were pleasantly surprised, because everything worked. Good timing. Good drivers. During the time, we got to experience the varierity of Morrocco from the seaside to the mountains, to the desert and the cities. We are very well pleased, and highly recommand our guide and the trip.Show moreTrip date: May 2019
- RERoar· June 15th, 2019The 10 days combined Morocco tour really fulfilled our expectations. Especially the four days trekking in the Atlas mountain was fantastic. We had a very experienced and knowledgably guide, Drisse, a very good cook, Hassan and a hardworking mule, Bhima that carried our luggage. The guide was very good in evaluating our fitness and adjusting our trekking route. We asked him to start early and stop early in the day. Thus, after a couple of hours rest, he found some short tours in the afternoon /evening for us. We inspected mineshafts, visited waterfalls and even went to a Berber carpet weaving studio and a Berber village. The cook was very good too. He made meals in the wilderness that were much better than what we later were eating in Moroccan restaurants. After the trekking part we had an excellent driver/guide, Hassan that was driving us around for the rest of the tour. We ended up in Fes. Our only comments to the itinerary of the tour were to drop the initially visit to the seaside town of Essaouira. Although a nice town, a seaside resort is much like any seaside resort. We would have liked to have more time in Fes which was a fantastic city. The Fes medina (old town) is the largest in Morocco. The narrow streets, alleys and dead ends made it very easy to get lost. We were there for a couple of days after the tour and rented a local guide for half a day. Had the tour included this instead of a visit to Essaouira the tour wold have been perfect.Show moreTrek in Morocco commented on this reviewThank you Roar for your feedback , its nice to hear that you enjoyed your trip with us.I hope to see again in Morocco. - Kimberley· November 20th, 2018This is a terrific way to see the country. At times we were on our own, which was nice, and the rest of the time we had guides. Pick-ups were always on time. The hiking was incredible, although very cold at night in November. The accommodations during the hiking were extremely basic and not recommended for people who worry about sanitation or comfort. However, it was a wonderful experience staying in the small villages and experiencing the incredible scenery. Our cook was great - the food is basic, country-style but filling and warm. Our driver for the second half of the trip, Youssef Aziam was amazing and took very good care of us. He was more like a guide than a driver and totally accommodated us. They wasn't much he wouldn't do for us and we greatly appreciated his good humour and kindness. The Sahara excursion was a little touristy and we would have liked to stay longer and be more isolated, but it was nevertheless a great time.Show moreTrip date: October 2018
- Karima· June 5th, 2015We are a couple in our mid 60s who have just finished an amazing 10 day reasonably priced private tour with Houssine's company. This took us from Marrakesh to Essouira on the coast for 2 nights, trekking in the High Atlas Mountains for 4 days and travelling across the deserts to the Sahara for 3 days, finishing up in Fes on the last day. From the first email that we sent to Houssine we have been impressed with his efficiency and flexibility in changing our program to suit our needs. His brother Abdul, our very safe driver for the 10 days on and off, was a very kind and gentle young man and our trekking guide Abdul (another one) and cook/muleteer Mohammed were equally as wonderful. We enjoyed chatting with them and learning more about the Moroccan way of life, which they were only too pleased to share with us. The meals were amazing and they went out of their way to make our trip as perfect as it was. We thoroughly recommend using this company.Show moreTrip date: May 2015
