- LCLee· May 7th, 2025This was an excellent tour! Our guide and the rest of the staff were top-notch and attended to our every need, even when one member needed assistance and was allowed to ride on one of the pack animals. Our Chef (Alejandro) cooked up some amazing dishes, especially considering the facilities he had to work with. The lead guide (Nilton) was very knowledgeble and encouraging, especially when the going got tough. The tour itself was one of the most physically challenging I have ever experienced. But we did it and so glad to be a part of it. The scenery was stunning!Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- APAndrew· May 3rd, 2025This was an outstanding experience! Our guide Nilton and his team catered to us more than we could have imagined. The trek was beautiful and challenging. Choquequirao was an incredible place similar to Machu Picchu but without crowds of people. Nilton was very easy going accommodating everyone. My girlfriend got sick one night and he had medication for her and put her on a horse for 7k uphill climb one day. One of the highlights was the amazing food we ate. The chef and two sous chefs cooked up gourmet meals breakfast, lunch and dinner which was great fuel for the challenging hikes. I would highly recommend this hike and using Alpaca Expeditions!Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- RBRobert· August 15th, 2020Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishI was lucky enough to meet a group of tourists guided by Simon Puma in Yanama. Our situation was complicated due to the snow closure of the Mariano Llamoja pass. The group helped us, fed us and transported my son and me who had been cut off in Yanama, with no possibility of returning to civilization. Thank you very much Alpaca Expeditions!Show more
