Great tour. Emphasis on natural scenery rather than buildings which I prefer. No rushing and good start and finish times. Bus could do with a mat of some sort for wet shoes. Also cup holders would have been nice

Our guide, Graeme, was excellent! He shared a ton of history, some good jokes, and kept us entertained the entire time. We were even able to experience some unexpected stops because of his expertise. Definitely will use Rabbie’s again!

Micheal our driver was a fantastic tour guide and story teller. He went above and beyond to show us around even with road and snow conditions being challenging. The 3 stars is due to the accommodation arrangements Rabbies organised. At Broadford there was only one place open to have dinner that required a long walk on a dark frozen pathway that was quite treacherous and scary. We chose to stay in our room and had tea and toast our first night, then Micheal took us to the co op the next evening to buy supplies for dinner. The seat belts on the bus kept coming undone, and there was nowhere to even put a drink bottle.

Our 2026 schedule (for April onwards) won't be published for a few months yet. We normally finalise our tour schedule in the mid-late summer, so I would advise checking back later on in the year.

    • Rabbie's ToursOperatorWritten February 2025

This tour departs from Edinburgh, so this would be the location that you would need to fly into. We recommend maybe arriving the night before the tour so you can get to the departure point easily and stress-free the next morning. We are able to book the accommodation for you during the tour, but any accommodation before or after, as well as flights and other transport services will need to be booked by you.

I intend to book your 4-day Isle of Skye & Highlands sm Group tour commencing Friday 16/5/2025, but no-where do I see the departure time leaving Edinburgh - Fort William. Also, how long is the driving traveling time each day? I am 80 and well traveled, but it is a concern before I book.

This tour departs from the Edinburgh Bus Station at 9:30am. You will spend the first night in Fort William, arriving at your accommodation at around 6pm. The bis will stop every hour or so throughout the day, giving you time to explore at your own pqace. Some stops wilkl be very brief, just to get off the bus and stretch your legs or use the bathroom facilities, and others will be longer, like a lunch stop and stops in towns to explore.

    Asked on December 11th, 2024

Could you let them know the best way to move from Dublin to Edinburgh? For the B&B options, does the twin room have two single beds? Does it have a private bathroom? Are the B&B located in a convenient location with easy access to Uber or public transportation?

    Accommodation
    Transport
    • Rabbie's ToursOperatorWritten December 2024

The best way to get from Dublin to Edinburgh would be by plane. There are regular flights operated by Aer Lingus, Easyjet and Ryanair, with a few services a day. Twin rooms are rooms with 2 separate single beds, and all multi-day tours booked through TourRadar will have a private bathroom. We aim to book B&B's within 2km of the overnight locations town centre, but as the overnight locations are quite small towns, they don't typically have access to Uber. Most restaurants and cafes will be within 20 minutes walking distance of the B&B we book for them.

What should I wear on the tour?

We recommend comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for walking. Scotland's weather can change quickly, so bring layered options and waterproof clothing.

    Asked on October 4th, 2024

What is the luggage weight restriction? Is it strict? What type of vehicle is being used, and how many hours per day in the vehicle? What is the max number of people on the tour?

    Transport
    • Rabbie's ToursOperatorWritten October 2024

The weight restriction for this tour is 31lbs (14kg). Our buses are 16-seat minibuses. If the tour is fully booked, there will physically not be enough space for anything larger. We will refuse to carry luggage over these limits. The bus is a 16-seat minibus, which holds a maximum of 16 passengers.

      TravelerWritten October 2024

Are the lockers at the train station large enough to hold a large suitcase? What is the cost? For rooms with 2 travelers, does 'B&B Double Room Share' mean one double bed or two? Does 'B&B Twin Room Share' mean one twin bed or two?

    • Rabbie's ToursOperatorWritten October 2024

Luggage storage at the train station is operated by the Excess Baggage company. It looks as though it would cost approximately £50 to store one large suitcase for 4 days. A double room share means the room will have one double bed for two people. A twin room share means the room will have two single beds for two people to share the room.

      TravelerWritten October 2024

Is it possible to book one day early and stay one day longer in the hotels that you use? If so what would be the extra cost?

    • Rabbie's ToursOperatorWritten October 2024

We don't book pre- or post- tour accommodation for our tours. For this tour, we would book 1x night in Fort William and 2x nights in the Kyle area (in one of the Kyleakin, Kyle of Lochalsh, or Balmacara villages).
