El Calafate to El Chaltén
You'll arrive at El Calafate airport and get transferred to El Chaltén, which sits about three hours north. Once you reach your accommodation, settle in and get oriented to the village. This gives you time to grab supplies, check out local restaurants, and rest up before hitting the trails tomorrow.
- Day 2
El Chaltén
This day is yours to use however you want. The village has several self-guided trek options starting from town, and marked trails take you to Laguna de los Tres, the base of Mount Fitz Roy, or Cerro Torre. You can hike for hours or take shorter walks depending on your energy level and interests. Most trails offer different difficulty levels, so there's something for everyone.
